I'm a newbie and here is my story! Heheh!
hi guys! i'm new here. anyway i would like to share with you my experience with NBF. i found out about them through this forum actually, when i was still an outsider. so i'm glad i finally got my invite and would like to share with you my purchase. as most of you i own both real and NBF balenciagas. i did thorough research 'bout NBF and finally decided to give them a try after seeing your gorgeous bags!
okay, my first order was a Sang Work in sgh. will post pics of that in the picture thread later. honestly, as a first time buyer i did not know what to expect. when i got it, i was so disappointed. it was so shiny and it screamed FAKE. i could immediately tell the studs are totally off. it was tiny and not as shiny. but anyway, i still used it when i go to not so nice places! then i found out that you guys put on some stuff to make the shine go away. so i put on Apple Care Conditioner. immediately i saw the decrease in shine and the leather looked more authentic! in the weeks that followed i would put on apple care conditioner every like 6 days or so until i achieved the right amount of sheen. all in all, maybe i put in like 10 applications. pretty much. the leather is so beautiful right now. the only thing that really bothers me is the silver giant studs. there are some instances when the studs really scream fake and some instances when its not noticeable. you know what i mean? i think it's the lighting. in summary, i'm happy with the sang in the end!!
'coz of my happiness i order a Sorbet Work in rh. when i opened it, it looked worse than the sang the first time. it really looks fake. since the Apple Care worked for my sang, i decided to put some on it too! after the first application the leather was still SUPER SHINY. so i put another and another. however, i noticed that the leather has completely turned matte and dry. now i don't know if it's 'coz i put in too much Apple Care. but i would like to think not. i only applied it 3 times, whereas with the Sang i applied it approx. 10 times. immediately the leather was dry. i still used it quite a lot hoping it would make the leather more smooshy. but it was stiff to begin with. i tried putting on LMB's shine restore and color enhancer but it didn't work out great. after a few days, the shine and color would eventually go out and it becomes dry again. i still use it sometimes. if i knew it would dry up that fast, i wouldn't have applied apple care. maybe if i just let it be, and use it, maybe it would have turned out to be a smooshy bag after all. i don't know.
what would you guys have done differently? anyone here who received a super dry sorbet as well? i believe i saw some members here who also mentioned that their sorbets were dry. well, i'm one of you guys.
so since my unpleasant experience with the sorbet, i kinda banned myself for now from getting NBF stuff, as much as i love the boys. they're one of the most accomodating sellers ever. i still have to get over it. heheheh!!!
i'll be posting pics of both bags in the picture thread so you'll know what i mean.
