Here's what T&D told me about my Outremer Twiggy, Galet, and Black:

"The Twiggy will be shipped either Monday or Tuesday.

We have already sent the sample of the (Galet) leather to Italy and are expecting that to be sent back in about 2 weekends.
Once we have seen that it’s the correct color we can then order it and then when it arrives we can make contact with you then.

The Black leather is due to arrive next week.
A bag in pewter would be (not) a problem at all.
Let’s stay in touch on that.
Once that arrives I can also be in touch."

I hope that helps someone. Looks like it could be about a month or two until Galet bags start popping up. Bummer that it's awhile away, but it should still be here in time for summer!

I also wonder what their new batch of black leather will look like. I'm so hesitant to preorder that because I really only want it if it is relatively smooth and not shiny. I don't like crackled/shiny bags. I think that it's most obvious on black, so I am nervous...
(But I NEEEEEEED a Black City. We're talking NEED here!!! )

Oh well, I guess I'm excited either way. I love all the options!

Though nothing shall separate me from the love of all things baggery, I'm trying to plan bags now instead of just purchasing them all willy-nilly without a clue as to WHY I'm buying them. I'm stocking summer outfits (mostly sundresses, cute shoes and sunnies) and planning bags that will go along versus feeding into my inner bag mania and just purchasing bags JUST BECAUSE........

As I mentioned a few days ago I am in the process of placing a large-ish order for bags, shoes, accessories etc. I am having such a hard time spending my money. I had planned on spending around $500 not including shipping charges and I'm realizing that I'm really happy with what I've already got and may end up getting only one bag and just lots of shoes, scarves etc. Is there something wrong with me? I mean apart from being a complete nutter.
Not to mention that I was browsing fashionphile this evening and found an MJ Quilted Venetia in Icy Taupe for $525 and an MJ Multi-Pocket Tote in Icy Blue. Okay, if there was a smiley biting his wrist like Lenny & Squiggy used to do, I would totally throw it in right here! (you old-timers know who I'm talking about)
Dog, give me the strength to overcome my Marc Jacobs quilted anything obsession...... and deliver me from evil! (and running for my credit card)

100mph: I know! I can't wait for the Stam either. I am most definitely getting one with this order. You know, I love the Venetia A LOT and I may end up getting it in black regardless of it being a bit off. I know people have said that the overall shape and look of the reps are off, but I actually like the rep better! The handles seem a bit thicker to me and the bag looks a bit squarer too (although the mod pic @ fashionphile looks more square). If I am that self-conscious, I will carry it the wrong way around, but honestly I could hang the bag and stretch the handles a bit I suppose and as long as the leather is soft it will slouch a bit anyways. Wow, thanks for talking me into that shelleybean - hey no problem, that's what I'm here for! muah hah hah hah!!!
Since most of my auth bags are coloured, I don't feel the need to buy something willy-nilly because I like mauve today so I should buy that colour.
Venetia in Black, Stam in either Dark Blue, Taupe, or Icy Black (if avail). Mulberry Abigail Shoulder in Purple Suede, A Burberry something - Giant Check fabric hobo or the Soft Drawstring shoulder bag in that goldy metallic. Maybe something Chanel, but it can't be obvious Chanel or have CC's plastered on it, like a nice simple leather bag that doesn't scream Chanel, KWIM?
So that's it - those are kinda the front runners right now. Sorry, didn't I just say something above about one bag? Okay, maybe three.

Lotti: The Black City and black first are made with Pewter hardware as is the chocolate city. I don't believe that anything recent is made with pewter hardware. Galet is most certainly not made with pewter hardware.

Crystal-Ohhhh white lambskin...I love white with GGH so opulent and St Tropez-ish.
I have 5 black NBF bags...and by far the GSH day is the best...but that is an oldie compared to now, my latest blacks were my new to me black rh wk and my black rh city..both are great. no complaints, my city is slightly thinner than the work, but neither are crackled or bubbly or shiny.
My 2 black GH works are i think amazing, they have a sheen, which i actually prefer on the GH black works..but the leather is gorgeous.

Here is the new Balenciaga Vert D'eau for Fall 2010 as well as the Mulberry. It is exactly the same as Vert D'eau of several years ago. Mulberry is in the background. I love the Vert D'eau, not sure about Murrier. Need to start saving. The photo shows a new style for Fall 2010 with a cross body strap, looks larger than velo.

Coco- what style is that VD..a velo? The velo looks like a step without the strap to me.

Coco- can you confirm these measurements of your velo? If this is the case I will be rethinking the Velo as i think it might be to small for me. the width is more important to me than the height in a bag.TIA.
My rubisse step is a tad to small for an everyday bag for me, And I'm thinking that the velo maybe as well if it's closer to a city or a step, with a bit more height, than i dont think it will work as well for me.
i hate it when my cities and step are filled to the gills that they dont slouch..

Velo-6.7 x 9.8 x 13.4 with shoulder strap

Step: 10"h x 14"w x 5.5"d, 5.5" handle drop.

bagalicious: I don't believe that new style is a velo. It is much too long and wide at the bottom. It is a new style for Balenciaga Fall 2010 and I am not sure what style it is. I will be getting something in Vert D'eau this fall, perhaps a city or Part Time.

i swear: yesterday i was thinking about a certain look and i thought "oh, a white GGH EC would be gorgeous with it", but i knew that this doesn't seem to be in T&D's cards. so thats sooo cool

3G ipad later this month.

bagalicious: Get the Velo. It is really the best Bal Style ever. So functional
