Platinum, I know first hand that NBF's bags can be a lot better than auth Bal. I've had my NBF in the store while feeling the dry, dull leather on the auth Bal bags. I agree with others that it varies. I would just way rather have paid $200 for a less than stellar bag than $1400, KWIM? And the bags from NBF that I'm thrilled with are so so SO worth any less than great ones I've had.

What if I'm not in the US? Can I still place an order for the PS1?

hmm good to hear about NBF. I think I might get a black GSH city from them. Fingers crossed!

Questions for all you Balenciaga girls:
Does anyone have a Balenciaga City with giant silver /rose gold hardware (real or otherwise)? Is it much heavier than the original one with regular hardware or do you find it heavy-ish when empty? My friend mentioned that she finds hers to be so. I already have a First with RH and it's wicked light. Please share a pic of yours if you do! I am so indecisive and need feedback!

Is anyone else frustrated that the Balen City doesn't have a longer shoulder strap? I think it would do well with a cross body strap but somehow only the Velo and Town have longer straps. I suppose you can buy a plain black leather strap but I'd rather that it match.


Oh yes, I'm interested, who here prefers the Balen giant hardware and who prefers the regular hardware and why?
I used to think the giant hardware reminded me of tatas somehow but have grown to rather like their punkish look. My first love however is the understated Regular hardware.

Thanks to baby_yorkie, I have ordered a Life wallet. Black if the leather is veiny (you know I like those veiny bals! ) but if not, the anthra as they have posted on their site because I love the texture.

Ofcourse gh bags r heavier than rh bags, all those hw i only like gh on pt, the rest is rh for me. U cab buy a parttime strap or even velo strap in matching color of ur bags from nbf if u want, but only if leather is avaiable

Just got my Seigle Velo!! TOTALLY IN LOVE. The color is better than I expected. The pictures don't do it justice. In real life, it looks just like coffee with cream in it.

The leather itself is gorgeous - supple and puddly but still has structure. Medium thickness. Slightly veiny but it goes really well with the cafe latte color.

I was bummed I missed out on Noix but I'm so glad now that I got Seigle instead. It looks exactly like the color I wanted -- which is a lighter sandy brown. Will post pictures later.

when you say medium thickness... which bag do you think have really thickness?

Like... vert d'eau has thick thickness, right?

so which bag do you think the thickness is like for the seigle?
Like the seigle has thickness like.... say XXX color.

I LOVE THICK THICK bags and wondering if I should get one.

I think sang, outremer, raisin are the thickest. Too thick even rh bags r heavy, lol

Are you talking about the hardware? Yes, the hardware is off. I own T & D and authentic. The giant hardware is not as wide as authentic and the color is off. With the rh, the coloring is off. These are differences that would only be known by an authentic owner or when held side by side and compared. I sold my T & D GSH because the hardware color difference bugged me. They need to get shinier silver. Their hardware is too aged in the silver. The gold is off a shade....not too bad. The hardware shape and size needs improving, but again, who really will know?!

Why would anyone care about rivets? They're exceptionally tiny and hidden from view. No one would ever see them in passing, and even under close inspection it would be difficult to draw a conclusion one way or another without an authentic on the spot for comparison. Rivets, along with serial numbers and heat stamp fonts, are the kind of detail that only matter when trying to authenticate. . .

Not sure what 'cheaper' means, but I bought one of Fang's caviar jumbo flaps for around 250 inc shipping and also own one of jackys classic black lambskin flaps.

Fang's is MILES ahead of jacky's. In terms of looks ,material quality, and structure, I get nervous that the jacky flap looks fake but I'm never worried about fangs.

The jacky flaps I have/have had in the past are too floppy in the sides, and I've always had to clip them from the inside to retain their shape...which is annoying. Fang's are really rigid and structured, which is how the auth were when I checked them out at NM.

yes, i dont have an iphone but a very similar in shape/size/weight and it fit right in.
one con about the wallet is that it has so many compartment that sometime it might get heavy when u want to fill up those compartments)

Which do you guys think Jacky does a better job with overall, LV or Chanel? I'm about to pick my first bag(s) from J and I'm not sure which way to go or to try one of each?

I've gotten both Chanel and LV (Damier) from Catty and been pretty happy with them. I think Damier's an easier copy than the mono, but what about the vernis he makes? Or should I go way outside the box and try a Givenchy Pandora? Such decisions!!!
