Why would anyone care about rivets? They're exceptionally tiny and hidden from view. No one would ever see them in passing, and even under close inspection it would be difficult to draw a conclusion one way or another without an authentic on the spot for comparison. Rivets, along with serial numbers and heat stamp fonts, are the kind of detail that only matter when trying to authenticate. . .

Plus, if it's way off then what the real ones were like, I would feel uncomfortable carrying it.
i do love the leather quality of the NBF bags. It is very nice.

i can tell u that we are highly educated about this matter and NBF wont be our main supplier for bal if it is WAY off- majority of people CANT tell from just looking at NBF's bags even upclose. can you? check out ioffer, tons of pictures of NBF bags, do ur own judgement. (please dont be offended ) i have both REAL and NBF, i compared them closely.

the point of this is, there is something off, but it is not obvious. BUT some people are bothered by those details and they choose not to buy, that's all. i dont like the off in their gold line, i dont buy, easy!

I agree 100% with baby yorkie...you really have to examine them and honestly they have to be side by side many times to note any real the difference. Even then I don't always notice it and get confused. I can tell you when I see someone else carrying a Bal bag, I can never tell if it's real or fake. It would HAVE to be obvious. The boys' bags really are that good. I do get compliments on them from the SA's at NM and they can't tell either.

For those who are still not convinced by T&D, I was like you till I received my RH City from them. I must first clarify I am not a Bal expert, and I own only one bag from T&D. From what I observed so far, the only obvious difference is the bales. The rest are too minute to notice IMO. I did a field test myself, trying to check out details on others' bags while walking, shopping etc. I swear it is difficult to figure out whether the bales, rivets, colour, tassles, zips (whatever...) are dead giveaways on whether your bag is T&D or not. It will only be obvious when it is compared with an authentic; that is when the "abnormalities" show up, not too starkly I must say.

The leather is also slightly different. Depending on which kind of leather you are into, T&D's are smooshy, pillowy soft. Making your bags look very broken in despite being new. I very much prefer the thicker leather found on Bal but this leather works for me as well. It is soft and light like feather and I don't have to wait for weeks and months for the leather to soften and falls into a puddle. I have a colleague who owns a couple of Bals and mine passed the test so I have absolute confidence in T&D.

I guess people who checks out others' bags to the minutest detail is going too extreme, especially when they are not going to buy the bags themselves. I wouldn't be bothered about what others say. People don't speculate about the authenticity of the bag unless they are absolutely certain and I can say, most don't have the time to process their speculation on the streets. They would probably just go "wow, great leather and perfect smoosh-factor" before the "authentic or not?" thought comes in. By then, you'd probably be too far away for them to check out! Enjoy your bags girls.

Has anyone seen the Mulberry Small bayswater Satchel IRL? Just curious to know how it looks on. I'm about 5'4 and wonder if it would look similar to a Balenciaga first when worn in the crook of your arm. Im looking at the dimensions but having a hard time picturing it

I actually compared my T&D Anthracite Day GSH to the authentic one at Barneys. The only difference I could see was the hardware was slightly shinier on the authentic bag. Otherwise I was so thrilled by how close mine looked to the real one. No one would ever know in my opinion.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered a black City GSH from NBF! This will be my first City!

They were extremely thorough and polite. Very nice to deal with and I don't know where they're based (China??) but such good communication (in English) too. Will let you guys know how the bag turns out, fingers crossed! I'm not going to be passing it off as authentic so I don't particularly care about the small details, I just love this design and am hoping that it'll last me a long time and that the leather will be soft and of good quality.



Also, my mom really wants a PS1 so can anyone recommend a good site or ioffer seller who does excellent Large PS1s?? Has anyone here bought one so far?

Are you talking about the hardware? Yes, the hardware is off. I own T & D and authentic. The giant hardware is not as wide as authentic and the color is off. With the rh, the coloring is off. These are differences that would only be known by an authentic owner or when held side by side and compared. I sold my T & D GSH because the hardware color difference bugged me. They need to get shinier silver. Their hardware is too aged in the silver. The gold is off a shade....not too bad. The hardware shape and size needs improving, but again, who really will know?!

i agree with kelsbags. the bags i bought early last year had non-shiny GH thimbles. to me, the difference is noticeable but doesn't scream fake. i bought a GH bag late last year and it's very close to perfect because it's shiny. i also have a tt bracelet and the small thimbles are awesome as well. i don't really care about the rivets and bales but, do care about the front of the bag and especially the color.

in all, the nbfs are great bargains for what they are, considering the quality. i mean, regular pleather bags reach $150+! fwiw, my nbfs always pass off as auth. i don't feel self conscious wearing them out. most people aren't on tpf or tfs. and most people aren't experts on the details.

your wallet is gorgeous, babyyorkie! i've been pleased (but now wowed) with my money from tnd. i bet they'll do a great job with this one.

I know, I know. But to each her own burr under the skin, n'est pas?

For me it's the "O" rings and straps, which is why I remove the straps and use the handles. For others it may be the zippers, pockets, etc.

I've often wondered why the boys keep a few details wrong.

I have a Jacky Oak Leopard Alexa. I think it is very close to the authentic.

The Mulberry Bayswater Crossbody bag is smaller than a regular Alexa. It does
not compare in size to a Balenciaga City.

Just after a little advice, I received a jumbo caviar from Fang today and while the bag looks good it smells horrendous. It's almost like a petroleum smell. Has anyone received a bag like this & did the smell go away?
