Oh Isabelle!!! She's my goddess! its sad that in many cases photos cant capture her beauty, as someone said earlier in this thread, but she's always amazing to look at in motion pictures, especially in the late 80s and early 90s,as she matured. for me, she looks the best in La Reine Margot. and i like Bon Voyage and Camille Claudel a lot too.

can someone contribute any news about her? like,any new film to be released? i heard she lived with her two sons in Switzerland after she broke up with Jarre,but thats all that i know.

this is a fashion forum after all, so...in the last two pics, she was at the launch party of Poison and Dune, two Dior fragrances. like someone said, she was sort of the face of dior in Gianfranco Ferre's era. i guess it was just like Anna Monglalis for Chanel now.

Unfortunately it doesn't look as though Isabelle is producing any films at the mo. I thought I'd add a bit more information on this beautiful woman.

Isabelle's mum is German and her father is Algerian, of Turkish ancestry.

And she's the only actress in the history of French cinema to get four César awards: the first in 1982 for Possession (1981), the second in 1984 for Été meurtrier, L' (1983), the third for Camille Claudel (1988) in 1989 and her last in 1995 for Reine Margot, La (1994).

She is often compared to Monica Bellucci, but I find when she is younger she reminds me of Sophie Marceau.

i would definitely agree with the sophie marceau comparison... much more accurate than the sex-bomb monica bellucci comparison imo... though i must admit i think all three of these women are awesome..

i see. but honestly neither of the actresses in question can be compared to Isabelle when it comes to talent or achievement. i guess only one French actress is close to Adjani's stature, that is the other Isabelle in French cinema- Mme Huppert.

I only think they look similar physically. Without a shadow of a doubt Adjani towers over them when it comes to acting.

me too. tho she looked amazing in reine margot at the "ripe age" of 40, she now looks slightly freakish as a result of too much surgery (IMO)
does anybody know how tall she is? RE: sophie marceau/adjani comparison, sophie once said to a mag she didnt get the comparison because she was "10 years younger, 20cm taller and had bigger breasts" so cheeky (and a much inferior actress she forgot to add) still love her tho.
