"Mad For Plaid" Sept. 25, 2008.
- fashionista.

Jules, 23, Artist

Got Her: At Versailles, in front of the Koons.

Stalked Her: Let's just say that when you plop a girl like this in the middle of squealing tourists wearing sweatshirts and fanny packs, she kind of stands out.

Shot Her: Because we've been obsessing over the D&G tartan for fall, and while her outfit might not be off the runway, she makes the look everyday appropriate. And, that skirt length is almost impossible to pull off. Also, did you notice the equestrian lining of her coat?

She Says: "I've had this skirt forever. Is plaid trendy again?"

We Say: Ah, so above it all.

"First Day of Fall Mascot" Sept. 24, 2008.

Louise, 22, Student

Got Her: At Versailles

Stalked Her: Because she looked very studious taking notes in the courtyard and very Fall.

Shot Her: Because the proportion of her jacket to her skirt worked, surprisingly. We love her glasses and that the only pop of color comes from her hair.

She Says: "I'm an art student. I study in Paris and we're here to see the Jeff Koons exhibit for school. And who doesn't love Versailles?"

We Say:You study Koons, we'll study you.

*ed note. If you happen to be in Paris right now, there's a Jeff Koons exhibit throughout Versailles until December. It's only the second time the French government has allowed a contemporary artist to show in the palace and though semi-irreverent, (we heard lots of visitors complaining), it brings an entirely new dimension to the experience and we'd highly recommend catching it while you can.

"Checks & Stripes, Milano" Sept. 29, 2008.
- the sartorialist.

I love everything here, the stripe with the check - I'm not sure if it even "goes together" but when it looks this good why even ask.

I also really love the club collar shirt, so often they come off looking costumey but here it looks so natural.

"Dame Viv's Help" Sept. 30, 2008.
- fashionista.

Emilie, Intern

Got Her: Backstage at Vivienne Westwood.

Stalked Her: Because she looked nice and Vivienne looked too busy.

Shot Her: Because she has a lot of clothing on her little frame, but doesn't look frumpy. We've been trying to experiment with different pant volumes, too. But we always end up looking more clown than chic.

She Says: "I'm a pattern cutting intern for Vivienne. I love working for her - it's amazing. My favorite part of this collection? The roughed up, aged white denim shoes."

We Say: Can you cut us a Vivienne one-off?
