I love the pleated skirt and the casting!
The setting was great. It’s always good to see Fashion outside of Paris and some people I know who were there really enjoyed it!

He is still on autopilot mode...I don’t see any particular new thing in this collection even if it looks more expensive than the previous one. It’s less about fashion than it is about clothes unfortunately.

I really hope he will wake up next season. For someone that popular, he should worship creativity!

I wish he had shown in that area without the audience
But why tho? The lockdown is over in France. Everything, except clubs, is open and he is in a open setting. There was 100 guests from what I’ve heard.

As long as it is done in a responsible way, I don’t know why he should forbid himself to have an audience.

My thing with Jacquemus is that I already know how it’s going to look his next collection. Nothing new to learn from those clothes made for people that couldn’t care less about fashion (except for Lola maybe haha)
Big personality, small talent. He really represent what matters today to be a successful designer.

I think in this circumstance the runway presentation worked, but I don’t think there was any point to have an audience granted the seating arrangements are cute.

I think I get it @GERGIN
It feels very « im doing it to be first ». But it’s true that when looking at the video, because of the grandeur of the environment, the audience is somehow secondary.

You know, maybe you touch on something! He makes clothes for people who wants to look good and to be fashionable and not necessarly who cares about the cut of the skirt.
He has a huge following and the sample sales he had last year I believe or earlier this year, were insane! People loves that he participated in the protests in Paris. He is not afraid to invite rappers, popular singers...etc. I think his trajectory is quite interesting because his approach was very very elitist, kinda pretentious and now, he is like Olivier, Karl or Jean Paul. Sometimes it feels unauthentic but it works for him.

I feel like he has achieved what Telfar is trying to achieve.
I support him because I actually loved some of his collections. And I think that when someone walks on water, he should push himself.

Like him or not but someone like Nicolas has always used his commercial success to present the least accessible collections ever. And It’s known that the more you push people, the more they wants from you.

For a collection titled "love" this is so loveless, dull and monotone...

Wonky breast cups, puckered seams, uneven hems on jacket for the sake of it. Dismal fit.

He really managed to outdo himself, this is even more mediocre than the last one. He really should use his Chiquito money to get a better atelier or at least pay for a 101 patterning course...but I guess pricepoint and profit margin is the only thing he cares about.

He's still managing to hold on to that "young" look and spirit - which I appreciate. Everything really resonates with his customer here but I want him to keep going and push it further!

Piergiorgio sending out a superb cast once again.

Just wish his menswear was as enjoyable as the womenswear!

Sorry but I want to stop that joke with project runway: Jay McCarroll’s (first PR winner) collection was way WAY better than this mess. And it was made 20 years ago.

A few of his dresses are undeniably pretty and will cost his girl a lot less than at Chloé or other high end brands. I'm pretty sure the fact that he doesn't aim for his brand to be that sky-high expensive is part of the success, after all, there is a big market out there for people who want an easy dress with a design that is not so bland as from upper contemporary brands like Sandro and there isn't really that much competition out there at the moment, other than maybe Paco Rabanne or AMI whose approach is still more on a menswear-for-women design. I still don't care a bit for any of his tailoring and menswear but the mood of his summer seasons and the 'on holiday' vibe of his clothes is something I am sure a lot of girls appreciate.

The collection looks like a scrapheap challenge. The runway though was sublime, so pretty.

Jacquemus is to French fashion what Alexander Wang was to American fashion a decade ago. The difference is that one mase his fortune through T-shirts and blazers whereas the other made it through « deconstruction ».
I must say that Jacquemus’s quality is far for superior than what Wang did at his peak.

It is not that bad imo. Some things are great & others maybe not so much.

Overall, it’s not a horrible collection.

The dresses really look beautiful. Simple, but with some interesting detail.
