Jennifer Lopez F/W 05.06 New York

I don't even know where to begin..
I just wish she would just stop it.

i know it's bad but i dont think it's the worse i have ever seen, or would u see it in a different way if someone else other than J.lo did it.. I mean, im not a fan of this but some pieces COULD be bought..

Can we have an official TFS funeral for the death of fashion (or REAL fashion, anyway)?

^Sorry about the mistake, all the same I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't see Beyonce or Eve anywhere near a fashion week

well you will be seeing beyonce...she's already announced her house of dereon line will be staging a show in september.

imo i don't think it's as horrible as some people thing, i do see some very wearable pieces...i see some d squared, some stella mccartney, some dolce & gabbana (and d&g)...i think it's a good start for her and hopefully she (and the line) will grow into something very interesting...

I just showed the collection to a friend, he said it was hot.... :ninja:

Oh dear..... :innocent:

"Death of Fashion"

C'mon ...thats giving this Sweetface line more credit than it deserves...that one line, however bad or not so bad, could drag down all the brilliant fashion out there is just really over-the-top melodrama. The Death of Fashion -- sounds like something someone would have said in that satirical movie about the fashion world...what was it called again..."Ready to Wear" or Pret-a-Porter. As fashionistas we can sometimes take it all too seriously.

Reminds me of old men.. It's like when you reach the age of 60, your pants automatically have to shoot up 5 inches above your waist.

^^i'm sure they were well compensated for their time...
i wouldn't worry about the models...jenny's got deep pockets...

I just hope she did not compensate them by letting them keep the clothes. :innocent:

Though I have seen much worse and it is pretty much typical JLo.

Do my eyes deceive me or was Heather Marks walking for her line?

sweetface is disgusting.

i'd much rather give my hard-earned money to a designer who can actually DESIGN.
jennifer lopez does NOT need the money anyhow. all of this is unnecessary and simply angers me.

Okay I have looked through the whole collection now on style.com and read through this whole thread...I have come to these conclusions.

1.) People can be pretty cruel, even by my low standards.
2.) Some people can be mean, but funny, so we can forgive them.
3.) There are some workable pieces in her collection, the Pimp hat on Naomi is not one of them.
4.) The phrase 'the death of fashion' should really be saved in case of emergency, i.e. the House of Chanel closes its' doors forever.
5.) Her target market is unlikely to reside within TFS. :flower:

well said!

The only redeeming thing about this collection is the positive economic effects it’ll probably have on the Danish economy due to the massive use of fur...

1) We're just giving out or opinions on a brand created by a lady with TERRIBLE taste. Everybody's entitled to their own opinion.
3) I personnally don't see ANY workable piece in her collection, so to each their own.
4) If Chanel closed it doors, no it wouldn't be the end of fashion.... :innocent: What I mean by "death of fashion" is the un-progressive state of actual fashion, I mean celebs OUTDOING REAL talents?! Things are going the wrong way. No fashion wont litterally die, but part of its TRUE meaning will be lost.
5) I have pity for her target market.
