darling, we are talking about the woman that starred in Gigli, sang the lyrics-
"I'm real, even on Oprah", whose *** was rated hotter than her on Vh1, who changes her name according to the title of her next album (jennifer lopez, J. Lo, Jenny, Jen), and was 1/2 of Bennifer.

All the models look like clones of JLo herself, some credit is due for attempting to create some sort of collection. I seriously hope this will not be the begining of celebrities showing during fashion week(NY), maybe we should start a partition to stop this madness

lol.. remembering Mariah said the same thing when people asked her why her album was called "The Emancipation of Mimi".. she said everyone called her Mimi... Mariah, Mimi, Mariah, Mimi.. i don't know where that came from..

i blame stella mccartney for it all. she started this whole ball rolling. who doesn't look at stella mccartney and think, "i could do that."

Also, so many people were hating her collection before they even saw it. How is this objective? Indeed, she's worn some cheesy outfits...but I seem to remember other celebrities, and yes designers wearing and producing some notable fashion mistakes...and they were not ghetto. Jennifer Lopez is a smart business woman, her fashion is not about high concepts, it is about finding one more product to sell to the demographic that is buying her music and paying to see her films. Can we really expect her line to include looks inspired by chanel, or yamamoto, or lanvin for example? Her fans dont want to dress like that, and the people who do want to dress like that are probably not interested in Lopez' product (fashion, film, nor music). They are two totally different markets. This is business folks.

Well said. There seems to be quite a bit of knee-jerk reaction in this post. Yes, the fashion is by no means revolutionary but what else did you expect? It's no Rochas but I will admit that it is better than most celebrity vanity fashion projects (and I could do without the gratuitous use of fur & ruffles).

JENNIFER Lopez just delivered a diss to DNA Models. An insider tattles that J.Lo's lackeys had a falling-out with DNA this week that resulted in the agency's models being replaced with ones from rival shop IMG at tonight's premiere of Lopez's Sweetface line.
"DNA wanted too much money," said our source. A rep for the agency could not be reached for comment.

On another note, I don't care for JLo and all the over the top, trashy, blahblah- but I also can't really hold a grudge against her for any of her success. I understand one side of the JLo dislike, the other side of it worries me a bit.
