the problem with this entire thing is that jennifer lopez is nothing if not a fashion faux pas. to put her on a magazine that heralds international fashion stars like nicole kidman, catherine zeta jones, gwyneth paltrow, and sarah jessica parker , diminishes that...i think that anna wintour realized that a long time ago and i would like to see if this actually materializes...the last time these rumors were spreading about jennifer lopez had already shot the cover and it was ready to go but anna said that she would never have jennifer lopez on the cover...that was the rumor...and that's been a couple of years.
as much as i hate the actress extravaganza us vogue has had, i think there are several other starlets that have a laudable fashion sense before j. lo.
but there are also rumors that ms. lopez is trying to turn around and become a "serious" movie star ... perhaps this cover will coincide with her cinematic redemption (think about madonna before and after evita....)
