Pregnant actress Jessica Alba is set to make some new enemies in Hollywood after criticising her contemporaries and even her own parents in a scathing new interview. The Fantastic Four beauty, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Cash Warren, told Elle magazine she has never used her stunning looks to land movie roles, despite her status as a sex symbol. Alba's controversial comments came as she wigged out during a photo shoot in Los Angeles.

The mum-to-be held her small pregnancy bump in as she posed in a series of outfits and wigs for the shoot as she embarks on a publicity drive for her new movie The Eye.

The 26-year-old shows her disdain for teen Hollywood star Zac Efron and Latina actress Eva Mendes in the interview, and even criticises her Into the Blue co-star Paul Walker.

Despite being only six years older than 20-year-old High School Musical heart-throb Efron, Alba was unimpressed by the tween idol at the Teen Choice Awards last August, where they were named 'Hotties of the Year'. She said: "He looks like a child with a lot of make-up. I was like, 'My God, you're just a little kid'."

Alba names herself alongside Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez as the only non-white actresses who can open a movie. When the journalist was quick to add Eva Mendes alongside the group, Alba fired back: "But is Mendes greenlighting movies?" .

Referring to her Into The Blue co-star Paul Walker - a diving movie in which Alba spent most of her on-screen time in a bikini - she complained: "Paul was the lead, Paul helped develop it. You wouldn't believe how much that kid got paid! And I don't think he did one ounce of publicity."
Luck Chuck, which was critically panned upon its release late last year. She said:
Alba admitted she was unhappy with the outcome of her latest movie Good "It's p*rn... It wasn't supposed to be like that."

Despite being cast in a string of sexy roles, including stripper Nancy Callaghan in Sin City, Alba wants to be remembered for her acting and business skills, instead of her body. She said: "I think there are ambitious girls who will do anything to be famous. "Contrary to how people may feel, I've never used my sexuality. That's not part of it for me. "When I'm in a meeting, I want to tell you why I'm an asset, how I'm a commodity, how I can put a**** in the seats, not, 'There's a chance you're going to be able to *beep* me'. That's never been my deal."

Alba describes herself as half-Latina, referring to her father Mark's Mexican grandparents.
Despite recent reports Alba was ashamed of her Latin heritage, she insists she's fiercely proud of her roots and wants to learn more about Mexican history.

She said: "I'm proud of my heritage. That's all I know! I only know a Mexican-American upbringing. Nobody really knows what to do with me. "I'm half Latin, but I grew up in the States, and I can't get roles playing a Latina because I don't speak Spanish.

"And I don't want to be the best friend, or the promiscuous girl, or the maid, because those stereotypes still exist with Latin roles. I want to be a leading lady." Referring to a family holiday to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Alba admitted she clashed with her parents over how to spend their time, with her mother and father opting to relax in popular bar chain Senor Frogs. She said: "When I go to Mexico, I want to go to see the pyramids, to learn about the history... My parents want to go to Senor Frogs every day."

Alba also spoke of her excitement of becoming a mother; "I'm madly in love. I come from a huge family and I'm the oldest of 15 cousins, so I've known I've wanted kids. "I'm ready to be a mum, and it's a really happy time for us and our families."

Lol this was like a week ago right? She's obviously lost her mind, she's just a glorified bikini model.

I don't think what she said was that bad except about opening a movie. When was the last time a movie she was in did well?!

I don't necessarily disagree with her, but I doubt it was her intellect that landed her her part in Sin City.

Come on hon, you've yet to prove you're anything but a hot leading actress in comedies and action movies.

Oh come Jessica. She's not a great actress despite what she may think and its definately her looks that have gotten her this far.

yeah, i read the article on my lunch break today and i've never really been a fan of hers (actually, i don't think i've seen any of her movies...), but maybe it was her hormones that did the talking :innocent:

love the eva mendes diss though!

She's delusional. She's only gotten where she is because of her looks. :yuk:

Heroine that's hilarious.

Clearly, pretty on the outside does not mean pretty on the inside.
Sometimes that's hard to remember.
I think she was awesome in Sin City, but as is always true for her, it was strictly based on her looks.
She's way more Meryl Strip than Meryl Streep.

Her looks are overrated, and most people don't think she has much talent, she was mean and snotty before the pregnancy.

I agree. She is cute, not pretty, to me. She has a good body but that's where it stops. She reminds me of Lindsay in the way that they both assume they should get mature roles or Oscars for being "pretty but wanting to be taken seriously." To me, girls like her are the ones who make their living on being a celebrity, yet claim they love the art of acting. I don't know, it just seems that because they do movies and get paid millions they should be receiving the same awards Meryl Streep does - with or without honing, or at least enjoying, their craft.

why is she calling paul walker a kid? she should learn to keep some things for herself but i agree about eva ( i can't stand her)

Clearly a bad *** just speaking her mind.

She's speaking like this because she knows nobody can say anything bad about her. Jessica is one of the few who look good even without make-up.

I like Eva.

She needs to do better movies. I hated the hell out of Ghost Rider it was extremely cheesy.

Jessica, Eva, Jennifer....who cares.
Exactly, it's not like they're fighting over who is going to be the next Katherine Hepburn:blink:

I wonder what she tells directors/producers in those meetings "Yeah, I'm going to put some a** into those seats with my raw acting talent. haven't you seen Sin City? I nailed that minor role as the sexy dancer with the whip! And have you seen me in "honey"? I think I really brought out my character's emotional journey from being a sexy dancer to being a sexy dancer!"

Ha Ha, wow, you're so right...you really have to elaborate on celebrities and their quotes...like...would they REALLY say **** like that?!

I love how she rants and raves about being a woman of color who can open a movie...

... and then basically states she isn't a Latina.
