Jessica Chastain is marrying Italian boyfriend Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, 34, in Italy this weekend after five years of dating. And what better way to celebrate than with a pre-wedding party in Venice?
The Zero Dark Thirty star and Passi de Preposulo were spotted leaving a Friday bash in the romantic Italian city alongside a big group of revelers — including Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman. Earlier in the week, Chastain was spotted in Venice with Passi de Preposulo and several family members from both sides.
According to local reports, the couple will tie the knot Saturday at Passi de Preposulo’s family estate, Villa Tiepolo Passi, which is three hours north of Venice.
Chastain, 40, has rarely spoken publicly about her boyfriend, who works for Moncler, but she did open up once on the Oscars red carpet in 2013 when she told Extra‘s Mario Lopez that she was “very, very happy” with Passi de Preposulo. “It’s a wonderful thing when a career does so well and your personal life goes so well.”
Passi de Preposulo was born in Montebelluna, Italy, and his noble family reportedly goes back 1,000 years in Bergamo Alta. Passi de Preposulo’s father, Alberto Passi de Preposulo, even goes by the title of “Count,” although the Italian aristocracy is not longer recognized by the Italian government.
