Jimmy Choo H&M Collaboration

There was some men at the launch, but there's never going to be as many as the women I suppose. The men's range also wasn't stocked in a lot of stores that stocked the womenswear. I think there's only 3 or 4 stores in the UK stocking the men's range.

^^ I'm surprised because i thought the men's were way better than the womens

here in rome i couldn't even get to SEE the accessories. lol. i arrived about 9.15 this morning and here's what i found:

(the line continued round the corner, till the store - doors). all bracelets were gone by 8.30 i've been told, so there was no way to get on the accessories levels. i tried the two dresses i wanted (standing by the changing rooms and luckily getting both in my size by people who left them...) but they looked HORRIBLE so i didn't get them. not really worth the price. the fitting was absolutely horrible on anyone i've seen. i really wanted one of the bags but not enough to go through this craze so i left. how was/is the quality of the bags? just wondering, cause the shoes didnt seem that wonderful.
oh and might i add, the clothes - ALL OF THEM, except the jumpsuit that was basically untouched- were ALL gone from the stands the minute it opened. cause i got in really quick and there was nothing left. so i'm supposing the accessories sold out fast aswell

I'm very curious about the bags as well (I won't be receiving mine until late November). I haven't been interested in the shoes as H&M's size 36 is too big for me - and honestly, the shoes were a bit pricey. I'd rather buy shoes from COS or French Sole for the same price.

yeah I know what you mean..I didn't want to buy the shoes either.

The bags were lovely. The leather was really soft, and the suede men's one I bought it beautiful. The seude is so seriously soft, it's like butter. On the inside of each bag it has a metal plaque saying Jimmy Choo as well, which is really nice.

They all came in lovely big midnight blue dust bags as well, apart from the little pink clutch.

Thank you for the full report honeycombchild  Now I can't wait to get my bag :D

did anyone try on the black leather one shoulder dress? im wondering about sizing on that one. i will try to purchase it on ebay i guess.

The sizing on everything seemed pretty big. The XS's in the dresses seemed to be massive compared to normal XS. The dress is really nice though, the leather's really soft and thin, so it drapes nicely, and I'm guessing that makes it much nicer to actually wear, rather than it being quite stiff.

i tried the suede one and it was HUGE. everything was huge and everyone kept complaining about it. small sizes run very very large. and overall they were cut pretty badly

I agree. The blue suede shift dress in small was like a potato sack on me and the studded shoulder pad dress in XS kept falling off my shoulders. Everything was definitely cut generously but not for petite girls.

That is really cool reading about the launch!

The sizing and cut's don't sound too good though, it's a bit of a let down for people who really wanted the clothes

I guess because Jimmy's shoes and accessories are so popular, people mainly wanted the H&M shoes and accessories too!

I really like the look of that Blue Cashmere knit!!!

I think the clothes were cut so generously because a lot was going to be made from leather, which for the most part, is not easy to get on and off, and also has very little give in it. Could be a reason for such large sizing on things I suppose, they scaled most of the range upwards..

The sizing on items like the sequin vest were fine, they all ran true to size.

Most of what I saw looked really cheap and nasty... Definitely not worth the money! :(

I went to chicago michigan ave. Total madhouse. Only looked at clothes because unless you got a bracelet for the first 150 accessories and shoes opened at like noon. You had to claw and snatch for stuff. Everything got condensed after the first 10 minutes to 1 rack, things being sent back from changing rooms. It was the most hilarious shopping experience ever.

I didn't pay that much attention to the clothes, but the bags are really nice. They both feel and smell like high quality products. The jewelry on the other hand, I wasn't too impressed with. Most of it felt and looked cheap, but there were a couple of nice pieces as well. The shoes I can only assume are wonderful, since that's where the hype is. Personally I wasn't too impressed with the ones I tried on though, the black ballerinas. But then I'm not really a fan of suede. I didn't bother checking out the rest of the shoe collection, way too high heels for me.

It was crazy here in Vienna this morning!!!
I was there from 7:30 AM! and there was already about 200 people in front of me!
It was like a mad house inside...(Men, You don't want to see your ladies there! The transformation is actually quite scary!)

I agree with mistress on the fact that the cuts weren't so great! But since it's such a limited stock, we can get creative by altering it, no?

I got the black studded shoulder pad dress! I think that and the grey one shoulder suede were the best cuts out of the dresses. (still not perfect)
And the vest was great! doesn't make you look boxy at all.
Most of the shoes and bags weren't so impressive upclose (a few exeptions)

Overall, It was a great success on my side of the world :)
Hope it was for you all x
