Jimmy Choo H&M Collaboration

the bracelets wont work. many people will still buy one of each item to sell on ebay.

The bracelets will work in the sense that chaos can be controlled. Only 160 people are going to be in the section for the first two hours. The bracelet's aren't about stopping people putting things on E-bay.

but atleast people cant go in and grab everything like when the comme des garcons range came out.

The full store listing for the collection is up to. If you're in the UK it's going to be stocked at Manchester, Birmingham, London, Brighton, Cardiff, Kent and Newcastle.

The menswear range is only going to Manchester, Birmingham and London however.

This time round the stores are giving all waiting in line customers bracelets - the first 160 in line get a bracelet and 2 hours in the section. If you're not one of the first 160 inline you wont be allowed into the JImmy Choo section for two hours, which it's opened up fully. You can also only buy one of any item...

no Glasgow or Edinburgh? very disappointing:(
can someone post a link to the stores that will get the collection?

No Glasgow or Edinburgh I'm afraid. That's the full UK city listing I posted. It's probably because they've given it to Newcastle instead. When Glasgow gets a designer range, Newcastle usually doesn't.

You can't really post a link to the store list, as it's a pop up within the flash site. If you go to the main Jimmy Choo H&M page you can click the link in that section and a list of the stores will pop up.

but what about other counrties? in poland we will ahve bracelets also?

If your country doesn't do online sales already then you wont be able to purchase the Jimmy Choo collection online.. (I think that's what you were asking?)

The bracelets it seems, will be used wherever the collection is. They'll only place it in places they know are going to get more than 160 people lining up outside for it, so I think it's safe to say that's how it'll work at all stores.

thanks for the info honeycombchild! I guess I'll have to pass on this collection then...

Was there anything you seriously wanted from it?

I thought I'd want a LOT from it, but so far, I think it's the grey bag and women's studded belt I've got my eye on. None of the men's shoes do anything for me.

i still think this is no different than what they usually do. usually they have a man with a clicker stationed outside the doors. he clicks as people enter. this way H&M doesnt violate safety/fire codes.

i think the bracelets will only give an outside appearance of controlling chaos.

They don't usually have a clicker here... I've worked pretty much all of the designer launches and that's now how its worked. The security guards just let people in untill they see it get to a point where they have to stop because there's not enough room to move. That might have been how they work it where you are, but it's certainly not how it's ever been done at the launches here in the UK.

The bracelets will let 160 be the section at any one time. Which is going to seriously reduce the chaos, and mean that only 160 pieces of one particular item can be bought in those first two hours, per store, before the rest of the people are allowed into the section.

There'll be some replenishing after the two hours as well I'd imagine. Here in London the launch party is on the Friday the 13th, so there'll be a lot of stuff appearing on E-bay on the Friday night I'd imagine, as howevers in attendance can purchase from the collection. Tamara will be there, along with some Jimmy Choo celebrity fans, but I wonder who..

Do you know what time the collection will be posted online?
I'm seriously debating getting in line ridiculously early but if I can just get online from my nice, warm bed instead I would seriously prefer that.

I love the gray ankle boots, but if the quality is going to be as low as usual from H&M I doubt i'll get them.. The men's bags look great though!

yes there are thigh high boots. but good luck getting it.
some items are more "exclusive" than others.

yeap but on the other hand i was suprised how cheap they wre in poland - i was ready for 1000zł plus but in fack they are "just" 799 - not bad for real lether, jimmy choo in exclusive h&m collection.

I'm so disappointed they're only offering the collection at a few US locations. It's like H&M want people to sell the stuff on ebay and drive the prices up.
