Jonathan Anderson - Designer, Creative Director of J.W. Anderson & Dior Men

^^ haha yes ! I assume they would make the working environment uncomfortable for each other (MGC & LVMH) until they reach some sort of deal probably.

She could remain at Dior, but not necessarily as creative director if my understanding is correct.
If I remember well, it’s illegal in French law. You can’t be downgraded from your position in the same company. So if she didn’t want to leave (which is weird because it’s not a secret that she wants to live in Italy full time), they probably proposed an equivalent role at another house.

France doesn't do at-will employment so they need a really good reason to fire her.
How did LVMH walk into this situation in the first place? Did the law prevent them from offering her the CD position as a contractor on the condition that she resign as an employee?

And do we have any idea what she's suing for (not necessarily the thing same as whatever settlement she may be hoping to achieve)? Indefinite employment until she chooses to retire?

Edit: Lola sort of addressed this as I was typing.

And you know that how❓❓❓

Same how I’m working in quietly sold The Row on a CD position. 🤭
lol not from online gossip thats for sure.

Its logic being part of the group he has the luxury to start the transition before July its the biggest brand of the group makes sense to start meeting your teams ask things see your office meet more key people etc etc

Why does this info surprise you exactly.. ?
A great majority of us work or have worked or have family members in the industry, this information circulates fast
It doesn’t surprise me. But I just don’t believe it. She’s still there. It’s messy all around.

But is anybody saying that she is not there?
All everybody is saying on TFS (and everybody in Paris close to the matter) is that she is leaving Dior for JWA to take over.

There are many rumors on where she is going, the reason of her departure and all of this but it’s known for months now that Delphine wanted JWA to come to Dior. If it wasn’t for Bernard Arnault answering the question, the rollout of this whole thing would have been different. The man has been there working for Dior without any formal announcement.

Very messy for MGC. She didn’t deserve this. She did amazing stuff in Valentino, and love her or hate her, she did change Dior, had killer IT bags, sells like crazy, and was one of rare women as the head of the house. So she at least deserves better goodbye.

But she is getting what will most likely be a big show in Rome ... that's a great goodbye for her.

A big show in Rome is not a goodbye?
Come on! She is more than well treated here. Only her and Gianfranco Ferre will be part of the designers who had a proper farewell at Dior.
Mr Dior died in between shows, YSL was fired after the 1960 beatnik show, Marc Bohan learned that he was fired in the press, John was fired in between shows, RAF left in between seasons…

Anderson also is expected to eventually take the reins of the women’s collections as well, succeeding Maria Grazia Chiuri.
The tidbit:
Following his more than 10-year tenure as the creative director of Loewe, Jonathan Anderson was appointed as the new menswear designer for Dior, slated to present his first collection for the French luxury fashion house in June 2025. The announcement came during a shareholders’ meeting on April 17. Bernard Arnault, the longtime chief executive officer of LVMH, made the announcement. Anderson also is expected to eventually take the reins of the women’s collections as well, succeeding Maria Grazia Chiuri.
