Jonathan Anderson - Designer, Creative Director of JW Anderson & Christian Dior

Luca getting both Dior and JW Anderson cheques.
You go Luca!
JW Anderson for free but they bumped the Dior check probably… at least that’s what we used to do in fashion: when we did our stores, the decorators and building companies would redo our own apartments for free…
Sometimes editors’ flats too
And their free vacations were included in our travel and campaign expenses…

EDIT : more seriously, should we expect less Marino and more Guadagnino’s designs in the upcoming Dior boutique or decors ?
Or a Guadagnino runway set ?
He did a great job with Homo Faber in Venice last year.

they should just rename that article into "how designers debuts damage their tenure"... Those teasers are the debut, can't convince me otherwise. Its exactly what they will do if comissioned by any big name artist.

There's no "oh but my debut show will be so different"

BTW i think they should have put him at givenchy to revibe it and burton at dior to continue what mgc was doing.

I absolutely cannot believe this, biggest mistake of the century they let a well-to-do well-crafted fashion designer Go for this crap, this is maria's full payback, JWA is not a designer, he a marketeer,
Heads are going to roll fast 🏃‍♂️ . Daphine will definitely not be the successor of LVMH. I'm surprised there not gonna scrap the first show.

It looks like it was made in 5 minutes in response to the poor response the rest of the festival looks got.

But it does feel like a hot-blooded unexpected moment and makes me curious about what’s actually going to happen in a few weeks which every other teaser look has failed to do on red carpets.

I cannot tolerate 99% of Hollywood stylists but Danielle Goldberg is very good at what she does.

From what we've seen in Venice, Greta is so sexy that she could rock a gunny sack with a couple of holes.

The dress itself is bordering on disaster (the more frontal the image, the worse).

I am sorry but can I tell you that this whole custom looks situation is getting completely out of control and also totally DISPERECTFUL towards Maria Grazia?
It's been 3 months since the majestic Dior Villa Torlonia farewell show, full of show stopping couture gowns with intricate details, yet no one has dared to wear anything from that collection (or her last RTW). I totally understand and get that the brand wants to start a fresh new chapter with different vision and approach from the newly appointed designer and everything but at the end of day...you're still going to have at least 4 FULL MONTHS of Maria's clothing and accessories in stores (unless JWA does some sketchy see now buy now capsules a la Demna)...but then you see celebs hopping already onto the next tenure in JWA customs. At this point, both Maria and Kim last collections will be available in limited quantities cause if celebs, who get stuff for free, are already 6 months forward wearing JWA, why would someone want to splurge on something that feels already out of fashion?
It looks like both Kim and Maria's final collections / items have been cancelled / deleted from the stylists rosters, terrible PR move from Dior if you ask me, why not starting slowly with the menswear and then build up anticipation for the womenswear?
The first two looks from the Cruise collection eat alive any JWA customs, and these are the simplest looks from the show...imagine Alba in the first look for the premiere instead of that navy blue monstrosity.

Nobody cares that much about MGC’s work for Dior…
I’m sure even her has totally moved on.

The caption under this image makes me laugh so hard: "I believe we actually have to revert back to the eccentric... We all realise we need something to hold on to now that feels very strong and original.” Hilarious choice of words to put underneath an image of the most banal, generic menswear ever. LOL x 1000. This is pure comedy!

The Alexandre, Frédéric and Jean clan (children from a different mother) is laughing so hard right now at these debuts

Women from Arabic countries would not want to order these couture gowns. Chinese millennials also have nothing to buy apart from some Uniqlo looking sweaters.
