Judy and her two older sisters Mary Jane and Dorothy Virginia performed as the Gumm sisters at their fathers movie theater.

thanks for starting this thread and posting such a beautiful selection of pictures ,lady stardust.she was the perfect dorothy and still enchants me with all her innocence and pureness every time i watch the wizard of oz.i also liked her in cassavetes´a child is waiting.she was like a flickering light there,very vulnerable,reminding me a bit of marilyn m in the misfits.but i cannot help thinking of her tragic life whenever i see a picture of her.i own a huge picture book "judy garland: a portrait in art and anecdote" by john fricke.i would like to post some pics but my scanner is revolting.

you have put so much effort into this thread with stunning results.trhanks a lot lady stardust!i´m sorry that i can´t post any pictures from the book.my scanner just swallows the scans and they end up somewhere in "technical nirvana" where i cannot find them...still i would wholeheartedly reccomend the book (you have already posted several pictures which the book contains too)!
