"JULIA VON BOEHM, 30, captured a place as a styliste in the front row.
At the age of 12 she cracked her neck so she had to wear a ruff. The worst thing for julia was the nude colour of the ruff. So every night she sewed a new cover for her nuff, made of velvet or silk, always colour-coordinated to her outfit. That's how big fashion careers start.
After passing her a-levels she leaves for paris to visit a fashion school. Before her final year she was made Carine Roitfeld's assistant, who took her to the french vogue when Carine became editor in chief. But Julia prefered to work freelance and to move to the usa to produce photoshoots for magazines.
Today she is the New York correspondent of the french vogue, she works as a styliste for german, japanois and chinese magazines and give advice to companies as Max Mara and Theory. She is frequently photographed by the Sartorialist, the favourite blogger of all fashion victims.
How does a 30 year old woman from Heidelberg become a darling in the fashion scene? Work a lot, always be true to yourself and never leave the ground beneath your feet, says Boehm. Not even in the 12cm heels, that are a must in paris."
