Junya Watanabe S/S 2022 Paris

Junya: Jonathan, can you lend me some wigs after the Loewe show?

Jokes aside, very nice, maybe lacks refinement in some places, but still exceptionally enjoyable. Junya, Rei, Yohji, Issey and Chitose should move and present at Tokyo Fashion Week to create more awareness about their culture, because with strong collections like this nobody would give a flying f*ck about NY, London and Paris after one season anymore. NY and London are trash, with Lee no longer alive and Vivienee doing cr*p with Kronthaler, Paris is surviving only due to the giants like LV, Chanel and Dior, but also majorly milking off the massive talents of Asia like the Japanese stalwarts, Eastern Europe like Demna at a Spanish house (I give zero f*cks that it is owned by a French company, because the creator and its history are Spanish), or British JW at the Spanish Loewe.

France has lost it as a fashion capital about 10 years ago, I seriously look up to Berlin, Tokyo or London or more creative and exciting style rather than France with its outdated fashion codes.

STUNNING!

What a happy marriage of wearablitity and innovation - In the sea of all these blandly commercial collections, this serves as a great reminder of better days in fashion. I have seriously not seen a collection where every single look is as desireable as the next one in many years!

That alone makes me think that you will undoubtedly be asked to pay a veeeeeerrrrrryyyy hefty price once this hits retail.

Re: the wigs...awww, may Kamo rest in peace, indeed.

^ wonder who did that tribute (?).

I think this just restored all my faith in fashion... it's beautiful .. probably stared at each image too long wishing they were 360 and wondering what music came with that. Some of these pieces just look insane.. from that structured floral dress unveiling graffiti at the beginning, the pleated bits, the golds, to the ridiculously over-the-top jackets I want.. but he's really reaching deep into the foundation of my love for fashion with these modest remakes from Fall 2000.. that collection was played in my head like a broken record for years!.

This may be my favorite of the season so far. I'm watching it on YouTube and it's so gorgeous and masterful, especially with the music and minimal runway.

Just magical, the kind of show I didn't think he had in him still or that we would get to see this season. He's once again weaving fantasies worthy of his imagination instead of just doing punk-deluxe and I couldn't be more glad.

His collaboration with various Asian artists stands in stark contrast to that other cash-grab collaboration made for the taste-impeded back in Milan...

The floral brocade from this jacket is 100% polyester. I know it because I bought a couple of metres back in 2007 (I still have some left).

It is a very beautiful fabric; but the problem is that it photographs very bad (due to is shine). And it is very prone to snags...but well, as I told you it is very beautiful! It reminded me of black lacquered japanese furniture (that was the very reason why I bought it).

PS. I love the look of the model, she looks like she is absent-minded from the show!
