I sometimes put on Lagerfeld Confidential as a background noise and let Karl talk about building sites, sexual freelancers and the wonders on photography. Must be The Most Fashionable background noise!

^ Thank you Creative- those are great and I've never seen them! I would like to find someone who knows about such things who can take a bunch of YouTube videos like this and put them on a DVD so I can have a constant loop going! I talked to the guy who fixes my computer and he said it isn't that simple, and clearly wasn't interested in helping me out...I was up in the Chanel store on Spring St in NYC and they had six HD screens playing shows and interviews over and over- I sat there for a long time drinking it all in!! (Security was giving me strange looks...)

It's less complicated if you leave out the dvd part and just take 6 HD screens and attach them to a computer (but you need a graphic commutator or whatever that thing is called) and then extend desktop over those 6 screens and the just put a media player on each screen. (yea, that not really helpful, I'm aware of that)
Or, if your current graphic card allows 2 displays or has a video-out option, just plug a tv or another display to you computer and again, extend desktop to the other screen, put together a youtube playlist, drag that browser window on the secondary display/tv et voila! Endless Karl videos and tFS on one machine. I've tried it on my old laptop, it works fine, but it gets confusing at times, for example, when cursor jumps to the other display.
But shame on the security, to disturb such a spiritual moment. That wasn't very Chanel of them.

Yes- security was annoying- but the worst was one of the salesmen was standing there and I made some obscure observation like "I wonder why they are running pictures from Spring whatever when the current line would be..blah blah blah..." He gave me this horrified look and moved away; obviously he had no idea what I was seeing or talking about!!

Depending on what machine you use and what os, but usually that 2nd display thing is beyond easy. Try it. It's an immense satisfaction to get something techy done.

Poor guy. I can picture the scene. Vividly. I feel so awkward in that kind of situations when I say/ask something in-depth and they look at me like I had 3 firespitting heads.

so the chic thing now is to show couture up close, hmmm... i bet karl was horrified by the idea of showing his collection in the "monumenta" exposition going on in the grand palais right now.
look it up! it's like some nazi's concentration camp of clothes. not so beyond, not so chanel hmmm?
anyway! chanel is going back "home" for rtw! right where it should be!!!
