Hilton Tokyo and Dom Perignon will open Japan’s first ‘Dom Perignon Lounge’ in the hotel’s St. George’s Bar on 1 September 2009.
Displaying a series of sensual artworks created by world-renowned fashion designers Karl Lagerfeld and Amanda Harlech, the newly launched lounge aims to envelop guests in the world of Dom Perignon, enchanting customers visually as they enjoy some of the world’s best champagnes.
The lounge will offer Dom Perignon 2000 by the glass and Dom Perignon Enoteque 1995 and Dom Perignon Rose 1998 by the bottle.
All guests who order Dom Perignon 2000 by the bottle are eligible to become members of the Dom Perignon Club.
As members experience more bottles of this superb champagne, so the privileges of membership widen, to include a complimentary stay in a Hilton Tokyo Deluxe Floor Junior Suite with, of course, a bottle of Dom Perignon 2000 from room service.

I think you are reading a little too into it. They may just liked it. S. never changes his expression, and it's next to impossible to tell what K. thinks.
Once again I thank Heaven that Karl makes so few items for men...I simply can not work another full time job!! (Which of course I would have to to buy it all...although I am still thinking of the satin slacks from S/S 09...Where would one wear those...)?? 
Now we shouldn't get too excited here yet, but...

(NEW YORK) After-party invites and moderately-stuffed gift bags aren't the only perks front-rowers will be receiving this Fashion Week. On September 13, Peggy Siegal and Chanel will co-host an exclusive screening of this season's most anticipated fashion film, Coco Avant Chanel, which premiered in Paris in April. Directed by Anne Fontaine, the bio-pic follows a young yet always-controversial Mme. Coco (played by a fresh-faced Audrey Tatou) through her ingenious antics, endless cigarettes and ultimate rise to fashion fame.
No stranger to fusing Fashion Week and film, Chanel most recently teamed up with Vogue and Cinema Society last September to premiere The Duchess, which coaxed Keira Knightley and her co-stars to the Cooper Square Hotel. We have yet to discover which of Karl's creations will grace Tatou, but perhaps suggest one of the diaphanous gowns (avec train) shown at couture will do? The film hits the masses on September 25, when it will be released in Los Angeles and New York.

but he just recently said he would've never chosen Audrey for the nº5 and that he would've preferred someone like Penelope Cruz
ninja... how must their relationship be? Mademoiselle Tatou has said many times to that she couldnt care less about fashion. Just imagine the two of them in a private dinner throwing knives at each other...
In a way Karl wants to make clear that the decisions they take at Chanel Perfumes have nothing to do with those of Chanel Fashion... but that's not what it used to be when Jacques Helleu was still at the house. He was the one who chose Nicole Kidman and Karl sure was 100% behind it.
Maybe the kaiser didnt like that they went from doing 3 couture outfits for the iconic kidman advertisement to NONE... hmm?

I want to see the september issue so bad (karl appears TWICE on the trailer!!)
and i remember a recent video of the two on youtube where karl said they've been friends for so long, and how she is very loyal, they talk a lot (but not business/fashion...)
now i wonder what do they talk about... proust? american idol?bobs and ponytails?
NOTE: the silk square Anna is wearing is the one Karl did for her (Struggling to find more pics of her that day >_<)
