sorry to continue the somewhat off topic but I want to do half my living room in this wall paper (they are currently) the rest of the walls are gray and we have white carpet and red super mod boxy couches and all black furniture very Chanel if I say so myself.

This is it- Karl did it for the Costume Institute Gala in 2005...Each square is a different decade with an example of a Chanel outfit, and often a drawing of Coco with a commentary by Karl... I was surprised it is still available in their online store- it must be popular as these things are usually gone right after a show closes...It's in a place of honor in my living room- and needless to say I get a lot of strange looks if the guys come over to watch a football game...

That poster is ten million shades of chic and awesome!:heart:

Shame on them for giving it strange looks :( It's very very beautiful.

^ Yeah- you know most guys...they are demode, they bore me... (Who says that??)
^ Love the wallpaper- very chic! B) What's the countdown for Chanel? Four weeks? How about Fendi, do we know the date yet? (I have a new appreciation for Fendi since the film...) ^_^

Karl Lagerfeld says his mother destroyed his childhood diary because it was stupid.
The creative director of Chanel said the experience had a profound effect on him, and was part of the reason he never thought about collections once they had been shown to the public.
"When I was very young, I kept a diary at my parents' house," Lagerfeld said.
"My mother always hated that house and sold it when my father died.
"She put all my things in storage, but when I asked her about the diary, she said, 'I destroyed it - you don't want everyone to know how stupid you are'.
"Perhaps she was right. It is not good to look back on life.
"As soon as a collection is shown, I am thinking about the next one. I am only interested in what I am doing, what I will do, not what I did."
Lagerfeld began working at Chanel in 1983, and his work with the brand has seen its profits grow and popularity soar among the Hollywood elite.
He said the French fashion house - which is favourite among stars including Keira Knightley, Audrey Tautou and Vanessa Hudgens - had become more successful because it was evolving more than it used to.
Lagerfeld said the fashion label's founder, Coco Chanel, was too set in her ways to embrace change.
"When I took over, people thought Chanel was passe. Coco didn't adapt to the cards of fashion," he said.
"When the miniskirt came in, she rejected it out of hand, saying that it was an impossible fashion. Yet everyone wanted one.
"If you don't adapt, the world goes on without you."

yeah Karl, your mother was right, diaries are so demode.

Question: What does Karl do to his skin? it's perfect!! ^_^

^haha..no! I was hoping there'd be some secret Kaiser formula, that he'd share with his third degree entourage..

^^ didn't we hear recently about karl literally soaking in La Prairie everyday (former assistant book et al) ??

Maybe other than botox, he uses this "vitamin+protein+otherssubstancesofunknownnature" micro injections... I hear it's the way of avoiding both surgery and looking FLATRONlike.

Not that having a facial expression would make a difference on karl. He has no such thing, for he feels no emotions, hmm?

not sure if this belongs here, but I LOVE the latest poem posted by FakeKarl!!
