Former co-stars Kate Hudson (in Dolce & Gabbana) and Matthew McConaughey re-teamed to help celebrate the return of Dolce & Gabbana creators Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to New York City. After a busy week that saw the designing duo cut the ribbon to re-open their flagship Madison Avenue boutique and herald McConaughey as the new face of their men's fragrance, the fashion icons threw one of their trademark dinner parties to cap off their trip. With A-list fashion fans like Hudson, Eva Mendes and Petra Nemcova dressed for the occasion in glittering metallic frocks from the line, the star wattage was positively blinding.

After a few rounds of champagne, guests sat down for a sumptuous dinner in the penthouse of Ian Schraeger's Gramercy Park Hotel, famously refurbished by artist and director Julian Schnabel. "They make the sexiest clothes. I always feel like I've got a little Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida thing going on," said Anne Hathaway, who took her place next to Stefano Gabbana and Hudson. Did Hathaway agree with the naming of McConaughey as the face of the new men's scent? "He seems like a guy who probably smells nice so I'm sure it's a good choice," she quipped.
