Went to see my old roommate's band play at the Delancey the night before Thanksgiving and, afterwards, spied old Kate Moss fruiting around behind the dj booth. She was small and elfin and dressed in what appeared to be an apron, but later identified as skirt-over-jeans. After some elderly guy gave her a brief dj tutorial, she played David Bowie's 'Ashes to Ashes', joining a second elderly friend on the dance floor. Though at first she just looked like some frumpy waitress, in motion she looked so hot! Singing along, doing this cute little flamenco thing with her hands! The guy she was dancing with was awfully spry in his old age. It was like in Cocoon when they sneak out and go to the club! Anyways, they danced all the way through til an Al Green song, and another band played. They were British and hot, in that unassuming suburban teen skater way, and I got the impression she was there for them. When I shared my sighting with a friend, he reminded me of the night he passed out shitfaced in a booth at DonHills, and woke up to find Kate Moss sitting next to him talking to some guy about how cool her new DiaperGenie was.

I once read an interview wtih kate that said, 'i try to remember to eat at least every other day'. But that was about 10 years ago.

Looks like she's embraced that philosophy again, though...

okay.. i'm not going to preach here and condone kate's behavior. but i can't stand to see her disrespected like that. first off.. no one can deny she is a model for all the right reasons, she's unique, she's beautiful. she's beyond beautiful actually.. she's done the impossible.. been one of the biggest supermodels to walk on this planet at just 5'6. (or whatever height..more controvery, whatever.) she knows how to work a camera so why does that mean she has to be perfect?! why do we make her business our own? are we that infatuated with this beautiful face? heck, under all that pressure.. starting big-time modelling at 15.. who the hell wouldn't be having a good time?! being whirled up in that business.. and being a model all throughout the 90's.. your bound to have yourself a damn good time because the opportunities are throwing themself at you! i mean look at her! who the hell cares who she is sleeping with or what her hot new drug is? well, people are going to talk. can't a girl have a little fun anymore? i mean really.. can you blame her? she didn't ask for all this publicity. just because she's a model does not necessarily make her a role model!
