i never question Balmain's quality. i believe she had her Balmain dress tailored to her tiny frame. due to heavy drinking, the super tiny dress can't sustain the sudden bulge from her body so it ripped. her Balmain dress was not falling apart like vintage CD gown she wore in late 2007 so it's easy to repair.

Did you ever had Balmain clothes in your hand? They are horribly made. But horribly made not just for designer standards, even for high street standards.

It's just hype and no substance. It's clothes for people with more money than sense. Kate and Emmanuelle actually do not belong to this group, I doubt if they ever payed for it.

that balmain dress looks just perfect on her. she looks fantastic.:mowhawk:
i also love the pj harvey gig outfit and that other one with the snakeskin shoes... the sofia coppola bag is very nice, too.

The dress ripped at the seam?! That just reeks of poor quality.

She does however look good.

What a scary CoOl COveR
But I sincerelly think that they should show her bones face lines
they are perfect in every angle
instead of that face muscles...

Kate Moss & the Met Ball

We want to tell you what dress Kate Moss is wearing to the Met Ball.
We wish we could tell you what shoes she’d be wearing, whose arm she’ll be on - ok that’s Marc and Justin - but we can tell you what she’s wearing on her head.
The supermodel, who’s hosting the ball, has been having a blast sketching turbans with Stephen Jones. She apparently can’t wait to wear their joint creation on the red carpet next month.
It does sort of make sense that her head gear takes precedence.
All hail Queen Kate.

Kate Moss suffers fashion faux pas after bursting out of her ultra tight dress

Perhaps it was David Walliams' sidesplitting quips or one too many canapes, but whatever the reason Kate Moss was left red faced after bursting out of her super tight dress last night.

The 35-year-old model's space-age confection - designed by Balmain and costing well into four figures - ripped at the seam as her long night of partying came to an end.

She was with a boyfriend Jamie Hince and a large group of celebrities at Movida in Soho, where they celebrated the birthday of her friend Fran Cutler.

Ripping yarn: Kate Moss dress tore down the side as she headed home at 4am this morning after party-hopping across London

Oh!
Another over exposed dress in this thread!

Naturally, of course.

the first sentence sounds very condescending but i apologize if i misunderstood your tone. :flower: i don't own any Balmain clothes but i've seen many Balmain jackets that my friend's mom owns, they are in great quality and well made.

re: as for whether one designer's worth his salt, i don't want to further this topic. coz if you ask not designer obsessed ppl they might tell you ppl who buy designer clothes only buy their brand names. for example, will ppl still buy Birkin if there is no name attached to it? if we're seriously talking, all of designer items are over hyped.
