Keeping up with the Trumps

Sorry to say this is not a joke item...it is real...

Donald Trump To Rescue You, Him
Because he's the embodiment of healthy living and good nutrition, Donald Trump is getting into the vitamin business. He isn't selling any vitamins though. It's a multi-level marketing scheme, which means Trump will be making money by getting other people to pay him for the right to sell Trump-branded (and gold-colored?) vitamins.
If that isn't distasteful enough, he's touting it as his very own "rescue and recovery program" which he designed for Americans struggling with the recession.
Although considering the state of his real estate holdings right now, it's probably safe to assume this latest venture is something of a rescue program for Donald Trump himself.

What in the world does this have to do with the Trump brand ...

Toupees, I could understand ... Trump-branded Rogaine, I could understand. A Trump hula hoop, yes. But vitamins???

^ Well, let's see...Suddenly withdraws his offer to buy back his own bankrupt casinos; (quietly) puts his personal 727 up for sale last week; his partnership with mixed martial arts company (Affliction) cancels a big event and goes (quietly) out of business; second tower of Trump Las Vegas and Trump Jersey City projects cancelled; Baja, Atlanta, Tampa, Dubai, Israel and New Orleans hotel/condo projects quietly dropped; being sued by Palm Beach, Baja and Ft Lauderdale condo buyers for breach of contract; and, according to NY real estate media- his Trump Soho hotel/condo project (which has not even opened) is about to be foreclosed on any day now (after selling less than 30% of the units...) Sounds like maybe a Network Marketing idea is appealing to him- he just may be someone who needs the money perhaps??

The Donald hawking toupees on QVC?

In business circles, The Donald is compared more to the government of Dubai than successful businessmen --- he's good at borrowing money.

Donald Trump Has an Aging Plane to Sell You

Donald Trump has suffered some financial setbacks over the past year. But have things gotten so bad that he'll soon be forced to to fly commercial? Or is he just trading up? That remains an open question, but Trump did put his prehistoric Boeing 727 up for sale yesterday. How much Trump is expecting to collect for his home away from home isn't disclosed in the official listing, although considering the plane predates Ivanka's existence on this planet and it's made 29,000 landings over the years, perhaps not that much. That said, Trump has kept it in excellent condition. The listing says the plane was given a fresh coat of paint earlier this year and the interior was recently refurbished. Plus two of the three bathrooms have "gold plated sinks," there's a queen-size bed in the master bedroom, and a "circular shower" installed in the master bath. And did we mention the "abundant storage for fine china and crystal"?

Hard to know what all of this is about....But Donald is 'no longer involved with the casinos'...Oh really? His helicopter was down there on Saturday morning, I saw it...Curious, huh??

Beal Bank eyes Trump takeover

November 30, 2009
When Donald Trump was desperate for cash to keep his casino operations in business, he turned to his friend Andy Beal, the wealthy banking and real estate tycoon in Texas.
So, when Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. filed for bankruptcy, Donald got his buddy Andy to join him in making a $100 million bid for the company. Even coupled with Beal Bank’s debt holdings of $386 million, the bid was far less than bondholders were ready to accept.
Frustrated, Donald and his daughter, Ivanka, who also had an investment in Trump Entertainment, decided to end the fight and join the competition. Trump withdrew his offer and made a deal with the debt holders to retain a 10 percent interest in a restructured company.
That left Andy Beal holding $386 million in loans that his bank made to the company.
Looking to retrieve some of that cash, Beal Bank made a restructuring proposal to the bankruptcy court that would give it a 65 percent stake in the new company. Under Beal’s plan, other creditors of Trump Entertainment would receive a 35 percent stake.
There has been no comment from Donald Trump.

^ He doesn't own the helicopter...It's leased from a company in California... :innocent: Remember his ridiculous yacht, the Trump Princess that was in a James Bond movie- cost like $30,000,000.00?? He never owned that either- it was owned by Trump Castle Casino in Atlantic City... Not that Donald ever misrepresents things- acting like he writes a personal check for all of his toys...

Speaking of not paying for things, don't they trade publicity for a lot of freebies? I bet you could write a list ...

^ Yes, that has been part of the 'genius' of The Apprentice, featuring products and companies (and his buddies) as part of the tasks...(for a healthy fee, of course...)

The latest on this casino debacle... My favorite side story: The bondholders said they have the right to keep the Trump name on the casinos for 10 years; Trump said no you can't and Beal's lawyer said "It doesn't matter- who needs him!!"

Andy Beal to Donald Trump: You’re Fired!

December 3rd, 2009 -Hand over the keys? More like hand over your chips, Mr. Trump. Andy Beal, head of Beal Bank, called the Donald’s bluff as he feigned interest last week in a joint venture with Beal to buy Trump Entertainment Resorts, the parent company of the troubled Atlantic City casinos Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza and Trump Marina. After filing for bankruptcy protection for the third time in his overstated real estate career, Trump and daughter/business partner Ivanka withdrew their position.
That leaves Beal Bank, who lent the company $486 million dollars and was the most senior and secured lender, in a position to essentially convert the debt into a majority equity stake. Beal, who is already famous as both a banker, and a poker player is combining his business savvy with his competitive passion to take a major stake in the ailing Atlantic City casino market.
“After Mr. Trump’s announcement, Beal Bank re-evaluated the posture of these cases, with a focus on maximizing its recovery, minimizing the litigation associated with the plan confirmation process and properly recognizing the stated interests of other stakeholders,” Beal Bank’s attorneys said in a court filing. “Simply, Beal Bank has offered to completely equitize its debt, which will permit the debtors to exit Chapter 11 debt-free.”
A hearing is set for today with a New Jersey bankruptcy judge.
Beal has made his $4.5 billion dollar fortune largely on betting on distressed assets when everyone else in the marketplace was shying away from them. Atlantic City’s gaming industry has cratered because of the recession and pressure from neighboring states. Delaware and Pennsylvania have plans to offer table games in addition to slot machines. Clearly, Beal is making a huge bet that Atlantic City’s casinos will rebound.

This horse is a classic!! Can't you just hear him saying "Jeeze, I wish she wouldn't touch me...I might catch Botox or something!!"

^ Wow  Love that expression on the horse

As older women get more and more injections, they look less and less like themselves, and more and more like monkey lips (I won't say which pair ...).
