Donald- time to step away from the steak and potatoes and hit the salad bar... He was at one time a very good athlete, believe it or not...

"Celebrity Apprentice" kingpin Donald Trump says he is "deeply saddened" in response to news reports that former Poison rocker Bret Michaels has been hospitalized in critical condition due to bleeding at the base of his brain stem.
"My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time," Trump tells ET. "He's a great competitor and champion and I hope he will be fine."
Michaels is a competitor on the current season of "Celebrity Apprentice" on NBC opposite such stars as Cyndi Lauper, Sinbad and Sharon Osbourne.
The Associated Press reported that Michaels, who was recently hospitalized after undergoing an emergency appendectomy, was rushed into intensive care Thursday night for having a severe headache, and doctors subsequently found that he was bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

Does plastic surgery just end up making everyone look alike? This is kind of scary at first glance.

There's a video at Huffpost of Donald sounding like a bigoted douche on Larry King.
He defends racial profiling, corrupted bankers, shows his deep ignorance of international market realities and contradicts himself all the time (he claims to be anti-government but defend a law that give federal government right to heavily intrudes on civil liberties and advocates protectionism against China).
Melania docilely sits next to him looking like a set prop and when she does open her mouth it's to make a bland, inarticulate statement echoing her sugar daddy's racist views (unsurprisingly).

The whole thing is really appealing to watch, but I was impressed with Larry for actually pointing out Donald's hypocrisy (the guy married two immigrants, but hey, they are White so it's OK).

^ Welcome to the "I can't believe he'd really be that much of a moron" club... Imagine if he was signing your paycheck every week and you had to deal with it....

well he has a point on the illegal immigration issue, but what's with all the 'eating our free lunches' talk?

by the way I just realized if there was to be a movie about Donald, Jon Voight should play him. They talk the same! not about the same issues of course.

Where can I see the full video of interview with Larry King?
Please help....

BTW where is Melania's jewelry made? Hm, China would be a bit ironic...

^ Hi! Welcome to tFS!! :flower: I haven't seen the full video, but maybe CNN or Hulu- I doubt YouTube would have it all, maybe some clips...CNN also may have the full transcript...
BTW- Melania's Jewelery will be on QVC (with her of course) tonight for the first time! I don't know where it is made either... 5th Ave and 56th St maybe? Maybe not...

^ I know! But it was real, I have the magazine... You should have seen the 'poster' or whatever you would call it that was draped over the side of the casino- Melania about 8 stories high in a very skimpy bikini...Victoria's Secret sort of thing...! You could see it from the Expressway a mile away!

^this must have been way before Ivanka was brought onboard as creative director or whatever:lol:

^ Yes- she's the bombshell image of the company now! Back in the 1980s when Donald was first such a big deal, he tried to talk Hugh Hefner into doing a feature on 'The Girls of Trump' in Playboy, highlighting his various 'staff members' in various stages of undress...He's a classy guy..... ;)

I will be the first to admit I'm a cynic, but I'm starting to wonder a little bit when I hear the Trumpster start bragging about ratings, and now a huge summer tour for Bret that he may miraculously be well enough to participate in...When this first happened they said most people don't even live long enough to make it to the hospital, and brain damage is common...Could this have been exaggerated a little bit, maybe?? Not that Donald would ever be involved in such a thing... :innocent:

Bret Michaels expected to make full recovery, maybe in time for “Celebrity Apprentice” finale

Bret Michaels’ doctor expects the rocker to make a full recovery, according to the Associated Press.
The 47-year-old’s will to live is “undeniable,” said Dr. Joseph Zabramski, chief of cerebrovascular surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, who has been leading the team treating Michaels since he suffered a brain hemorrhage last week.
“Mr. Michaels will continue to undergo testing considering we have hit a few roadblocks, including hyponatremia, severe cranial and back pain suffered from blood drainage, an emergency appendectomy performed a week earlier and a lifelong history of Type 1 diabetes,” Zabramski said in a statement released Friday by Michaels’ publicist, Joann Mignano.
Doctors said “The Celebrity Apprentice” contestant might even be well enough to attend the reality show’s live season finale later this month.
The former Poison frontman, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 6 and underwent an emergency appendectomy April 12, was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital last week with a severe headache.
He was later diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage, which causes bleeding in the fluid-filled spaces around the base of the brain. The cause of the hemorrhage is still unknown.
“There is no doubt that Mr. Michaels’ condition is serious,” Zabramski added.
He said Michaels, who has two daughters – Raine Elizabeth, 9, and Jorja Bleu, 4 – “did not want his family to wake up and see him lying unconscious in the middle of the floor.” He also said immediate medical attention and Michaels’ “fight to stay conscious during the hemorrhage” enabled doctors to stabilize his condition.
Other doctors said it is possible that Michaels could be healthy enough to appear on “The Celebrity Apprentice” live finale May 23. He is one of seven contestants remaining on Donald Trump’s competitive reality series.
“If all the studies he had done show no evidence of an aneurysm being found, it would really just depend on his energy level,” said Dr. Ronald Benitez, director of cerebrovascular surgery at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey. “If all the tests were negative, and I was watching the show at the end of May, I personally wouldn’t be surprised if he was on it.”
Michaels already filmed most of “The Celebrity Apprentice” last fall. However, the finale requires the last two contestants to debate against each other live in front of Trump. If Michaels ascends to the final showdown, it would be unprecedented in “The Apprentice” franchise history if he is not present to defend himself in the boardroom.
“We’ve never been confronted with anything like this,” Trump told Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today” show Tuesday. “He is still in the show. He’s doing really, really well, and all of sudden … I can’t imagine. It’s going to be live for two hours, and it’s going to be in four weeks. I can’t imagine he’s going to be on the finale, but he very well might be.”
However, in a March interview, Michaels told me fans who wanted to see him on the show should tune in early, which would seem to indicate he won’t advance to the finale on the charity contest.
“They didn’t expect much from me, which was my blessing. My curse is that I run on rocker time, which was a little different than Mr. Trump’s normal time. Let’s just say I run on a little different time period, my timing wasn’t my good thing, my strong point,” Michaels said in the phone interview.
“Let me tell you my strong point, my creativity and my never-say-die drive. Like you know what I mean, it takes a lot to knock me down.”
Whether he’s fired or hired by Trump during the May 23 finale or told “You’re fired” in an earlier installment, Michaels’ representatives are still giving his music fans something to believe in, according to the AP. His appearances scheduled through May 21 have already been postponed, including an April 16 performance at Lucky Star Casino in Concho.
But Michaels’ other concert dates, including his summer tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd, are set to go ahead as scheduled.
