Khaite F/W 2024.25 : Rianne van Rompaey by Drew Vickers

Mark missed.
Had high hopes, feels dull. And the thing is, the clothes are good.
Nothing being sold here.

The first shot is decent...but as per usual, NOTHING is pushed far enough these days. The lit up floor, the warm lighting, the lounging pose is all good in theory...but like it just looks like the amateur recreation of a more stylized and superior iteration from a bygone era. It reminds me in certain ways of Meisel's Spring and Fall 2003 ads for Dolce & Gabbana...the production value was just so much higher then.

It feels like Khaite is always trying to hide the clothing in darkness or strange neon lights, so no one can see it. From imagery to runway... Just show the damn clothes
I like me a bit (a bit) of Khaite (it's not such a great brand anyways), but this is so true lol. That cropped leather jacket is amazing, though, why hide it?
