Glory Days  those were the days, non? when the face was still at its influential heights and designers were as edgy as ever. koji, jean colonna & cornucopia which was one of the most influential vintage shops in london for 40 odd years.....you don't even see much anymore.

you know what i find funny.....kirsten has seen so many models come and go....experienced alomst every passing phase and almost every generation from the resurgence of the bombshells to the belgian brigade but she remains so timeless and incomparable. i think sometimes people forget she's been doing this since 1988 and i think some of her first jobs was actually those she developed a close working relationship with.....colonna,demeulemeester and yamamoto.

Posing – it seems simple enough, but in reality it takes talent. Anyone can pout with their hand on their hip, but it takes a true model to emote. Who better to illustrate a guide on the art of the pose, than industry icon Kirsten Owen a model known for her ability to elevate the editorial pages into the realm of art. Benjamin Alexander Huseby shoots Kirsten in a series of black and white portraits styled by Beat Bolliger for The Gentlewoman. Exploring the “semiotics of posing” the story is a stylish showcase for Owen’s talents and Huseby’s evocative shots call to mind the studio portraits of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

I love Kirsten Owen! She makes modelling look effortless in a good way.
