You should check out www.sock-dreams.com - I have ordered a couple of socks/stockings and I'm very satisfied.

nordstrom.com and urbn.com (urban outfitters) have some nice solid colored tights and stockings. I have also ordered tights from both stockingirl.com and sock dreams, and they are both quite good.
