I like her style, it's who she really is and it suits her (most of the time :D ), but she needs to stop with that side-parted hair asap

Kristen For Chanel Beauty

Kristen Stewart - she of the eternal smoky eye - has been named the new face of Chanel Make-up, joining Gisele Bundchen, who fronts the Les Beiges campaigns, and Keira Knightley, who is the face of Rouge Coco lipsticks. The actress's first campaign will aptly be for an eye make-up campaign launching next month and shot by Mario Testino, reports WWD.

Stewart - who appeared on the cover of Vogue in October 2012 - has long been a favourite of Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, being selected to front the Métiers d'Art Paris-Dallas advertising in 2013 and posing for an eyewear campaign last year. She has since been a regular fixture at Chanel shows both in Paris and internationally for Métiers d'Art, and starred in a short film, Once and Forever, by Karl Lagerfeld last year.

This isn't the actress's first foray into the beauty industry either - in 2012 she was named the face of Balenciaga's Florabotanica fragrance, whilst Nicolas Ghesquière was at the house's helm.

I'm sorry, but this is getting out of hand now. Does Chanel really think the woman who buys makeup will look to Kristen Stewart as an ideal? Just because she looks good with red lips? God, lol! I mean, to go from Keira Knightley > Kristen Stewart??? Karl is losing the plot.

^I think she always looks gorgeous on the RC, makeup wise... so I can see "Kristen the movie star" selling makeup, not her real life persona.

Please. That distinction between 'Kristen, the movie star' and the off-duty starlet who perpetually looks like a juvenile delinquent with bad hair, has been blurred for some time now. This is as ill-fitting as Jennifer Lawrence for Dior.

I don´t think Kristen is a good fit for Chanel the clothes but Chanel Beauty, judging from that pic, I´m on board.
