'Sex and the City' star Kristin Davis has been voted the world's most beautiful woman.

The brunette actress - who played uptight Charlotte York in the hit show - beat a host of stunning stars to take the top spot in the poll, conducted by Britain's Eve magazine.

Raven-haired Catherine Zeta-Jones took second place while 'X-Men' beauty Halle Berry came in third.

Nicole Kidman and 'Monster' star Charlize Theron rounded out the top five.

Former 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston was in ninth place, just ahead of pillow-lipped beauty Angelina Jolie, who came in tenth.

Eve editor Sara Cremer said: "Kristin's natural beauty combined with her on-screen presence make her a woman with style and substance.

"She exudes sex appeal without compromising her intelligence and independence."

Kristin, 41, has said she credits her mother with giving her the best beauty advice, because she taught her "how to be comfortable with your natural beauty".

With that said, I think Kristin is adorable and am glad that they chose someone who is very talented and intelligent instead of a ditz like Lohan.

Eve is a magazine for people in their 30's upwards. Everybody's perception of beauty changes as they age - if I still thought the same as I did when I was 18, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen from Saved by the Bell would be the most beautiful woman in the world to me!!

Look at the rest of the list. No models, no (I think) women in their twenties, no Lohan, no media whores, and also no classic beauties like Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly et al. Take this survey, and the sample population they used with a large pinch of salt
