That black and white cover from ELLE Sweden is amazing. I hope to see her doing some more high profile work soon.

I do love her face, but I have a feeling she's around 5'5" - designers can be a little lenient about height here and there when a model is one or two inches shy of 5'9" but something 5'5" may be simply too short for high fashion. Here she is next to 5'10" Freja who you can bet is wearing flat shoes: http://instagram.com/p/YVtXh1zOsO/. (I have a feeling Kristine is wearing heels in this photo, too, given how high her waist comes up next to Freja, even though Freja has long-legged proportions and Kristine has comparatively short-legged proportions.) Plus, if agencies are willing to list a 5'7"-5'8" girl as 5'9" then you have to wonder what 5'7" listed height actually is... I wish her all the success in the world but think she might need at least a couple more inches to make it in HF...

Her options will definitely be limited, but she can have a successful career with her height. It all depends on what she can do editorially and when it comes to campaigns.

Supreme signed her with the intent of getting her a beauty contract. High fashion work gets you the hype (a la Charlotte Free/Barbara Palvin / a TON of other shorties) that helps get the girl the commercial work that brings in the $. Her booker also stated she is 5'6" ("kristine is special because girls we sign usually have to be at least 5'9", but Kristine is 5'6" <-- that might be slightly paraphrased from the video I watched).

There are plenty of shorties who do well. They may never walk 68 shows/season but all she needs are a few notable works to get her to the point where the problems of walking the runways and posing for high fashion magazines are behind her. Besidessss, it's about PROPORTIONS (for example, Amanda Norgaard is 5'6" and Bianca Balti hovers around there as well) that allow a girl to LOOK taller. The only way you can tell some girls are short is when they stand next to taller gals.

The problem of height ceases to exist when you attain a hype surrounding your career.

Complaining about her height won't change the fact she is short.

^ Who needs her to be tall with a face like that anyway? it adds to her charm… if she were one more of the skyscrapers, I think she wouldn't be that interesting.

Alright? My point was specifically about HF and the fact that there's a big difference between 5'5" and 5'7" - a lot of the successful short models both are in the 5'7" territory and have great proportions (like you mentioned). I'm not sure Kristine has either. That's not to say she won't make it in commercial, or that HF is absolutely precluded, but she will need to have a lot of very high profile designers in her corner for her to gain high fashion traction.

But doesn't any model worth booking need a lot of high profile work? Lots of tall models don't do half of what Kristine has done in their whole career that she has managed to do thus far into HER career. I see a lot of girls on agency sites from IMG to Ford that hit 5'11" and yet have been sitting on the board with nothing more than a 2nd tiers tears to their name plastered in their portfolio.

Girl has booked PRADA. Point made.

So much talk. Meanwhile Kristine got a campaign. Congrats! :flower:

There's a difference between a necessary condition and a sufficient one? Height is in almost all circumstances necessary (what I pointed out initially) but of course not sufficient (what you're suggesting my point is but isn't). All I intended to say is that her height might be more of an issue than I initially suspected (perhaps explaining her not walking Prada SS14, if memory serves me correctly), so I'm not sure this unnecessarily heated reaction is warranted. Burberry Blue Line is fantastic news, and let's hope more of this kind of work comes down the pipeline for Kristine. Moving on... :flower:

She was in school so her having a show card was a mistake (this was mentioned already). It's not heated, it's simply a debate about her height and the industry. You stated your opinions, and I responded with my own is all.

Congrats to Kristine on getting the Burberry Blue line campaign! She looks beautiful

Anybody know how old she cuz maybe there's still time for her to grow about 2-4inches:lol:. Anyway, her face is MAGNIFICENT:wub: I don't know why the industry would care about something soo insignificant:judge:.

^ She is 18 years old if I am not mistaken
