Male Models: Men vs. Boys

i think the older looking models are better suited for classic labels like van heusen and yvesaintlaurent, then the hunks are suited for the work thats closer to commercial liek guess, gap...whereas the boys can do the more edgy stuff and also some of the commercial

Today I was looking o2w's boys and i realized all the cute ones are from london...uhm, i need to get my *** over there STAT

Oh hun, enjoy it while it lasts.......take it as a complement. When you're old and wrinkled, and butt ugly, you can look back in time and cherish that memory, that another human being find you attractive!!!!

haha...point taken:P

Lol that Jack fellow goes to university with me...would you have ever thought he was a physicist? Always dresses very well, in phenomenally skinny jeans usually. One of my friends at uni is currently part of the a/w 05 campaign for Dior Homme...he bumped into Hedi whilst in Notting Hill, the rest is history as they say...

So, where is it that you go to again, Creamy Thighs??! :buzz:

To each their own. Pete Libertine is somewhat nasty. (lol) Model Rupert Smith (i think his name is) can be his little brother. You can tell by my forum name that I do love girly boys.:P Thin bodies, beautiful faces, very little muscle tone.

Thankyou! Rupert Smith! I just looked him up on Premier model management's website and he is hot! I think you just found me my new favourite male model

Eh, my mum actually read over my shoulder on this topic....in her opinion, some men are just like women in that aspect- if a 16 year old model wears the outfit, they think they'll look 16 in it too. If that makes any sense- fortunately, some know better.

And I tend to agree with her on that- my favorite male model is Mark Vanderloo. Undeniably hot, and he's not so young that it's not believable.

What percentage of male models are pretty boys?

versus the traditional square-jawed, alpha male types?

Umm, I guess it depends what "modeling field" you're looking at. High fashion versus commercial is pretty different when it comes to model types. As far as high fashion goes, I'm pretty sure 1/3 of them are "alpha male" types. Maybe even less than that.
