Appearantly the snail La D will be only released in Switzerland...what a bummer...the 38cm crocodile will be about $5900, which is not too bad but it only comes in white croc or steel...oh well...ooh and Dior shares same maufacturer as Tag Heuer and Zenith, I guess this means that the watch quality can't be too bad rt?

Well, Movado makes Coach watches which I can personally testify (from personal experience and customer experience) are complete and utter shite...

It can't be TOO bad, I mean, it can't be any worse than Coach's self-destructing watches.

5900 really isn't that bad considering Limited Edition J12s are like 100k

I think the steel case makes the price more accessible...the solid gold versions, which don't come in the snail dial, are in the 9000s and the ones with stone dial are in the 10Ks, there is also a midnight blue croc 38mm with white gold and lapis face which I have only seen on the catalog...
Chanel can easily jack up their price by slapping on huge quantities of diamonds but I think the haute joallierie La D is not about bling but more about fantasy which is the polar opposite of Christal...

Oh, it's steel? That explains it, the gold La D's w/ the semi-precious faces are gorg but not worth 10k.

Those have been around for a while if I recall. I got the email about it too, there hasn't been anything new in the Haute Joallerie since like 2004.
