Lacoste

What's the difference?!

Neo nazis are blatantly racist, but skinheads may or may not be racist. Skinhead roots stem from the mod movement, and originally being a skinhead was more about working class solidarity than anything else, many of the original skinheads were actually black. I guess nowadays, skinheads are associated with racism and violence more than anything else, but I do know that some anti-racist skins still exist (in fact, many of them). As far as the Fred Perry association with skinheads go, I think that phenomenon only exists in the United States? I know that in Japan Fred Perry is actually pretty common place and maybe even trendy, I think even in the UK Fred Perry isn't really associated with skinheads as much anymore. But as far as the US is concerned, the main Fred Perry market is thought to be skinheads and kids that listen to ska or oi.

Anyone knows how much a short sleeve men polo shirt and woman polo shirt (stretch) costs in Paris? Also any tipps where the price is the lowest? (I guess they will cost more in the tourist filled grand magasins... and the lacoste boutiques of course). I'd be happy even if it's just some €s, but since I'm a tourist staying for 3 days it should be quite in the center. Anyway, every info on the french prices is appreciated!

it has to be made in france or it's not Lacoste

Actually, I've seen the made in Peru labels inside the Lacoste stores in the US. That's really dissapointing. Other than that, I love Lacoste polos and the polo dresses.

I love Lacoste ... polos are a basic in my wardrobe. They make great shoes too.

I habe a black one and I love it, sometimes I wear it with my grey skinny jeans and someothers with a denim skirt

I bought some nice basic Lacoste trainers on sale today.

I want a lacoste pullover for university :) I work now to be able to afford one. They're so pretty! I want one in grey or blue.

Lacoste polos are in my opinion the most boring piece of clothing ever. Very generic, and the popular belief that it is a classic bores me out completely.

^^^ They don't have to be boring. The funky colours liven up an outift and if you team them with something cute like skinnies and a cute bag it can look nice...

Can anyone post a pic of Lacoste pullovers? They don't sell them in the store in my country...

Just a wild guess here, but it's probably a monochrome v-neck with a small crocodile on the chest... ;)

Bringing this thread back from the abyss...

Anyone of you could tell me about the quality of their polos? I'm tempted to get a classic L12.12 in navy but I heard they shrink after the first wash. Any truth to that?

^ they shrink half an inch after their first wash, an entire inch if they're dried in a dryer. they're also quite a boxy fit as well, and even new their always rather short.

their polos come in a 'club line' where they are slim fitted, which seems to be a better fit for taller/slimmer people, but the crocodile is usually silver and stitched in, not their classic logo, if that's of issue to you.

their l!ve line is great for slimmer fits as well, and they often have the classic logo.

Thanks very much for these infos! I guess I'll pass on them and buy one from Sunspel instead!
