Hey meow, yup I've been to the lanvin boutique in Paris (it is a short walk from Hermes ) but there's Lanvin here in Monaco too. Good stock!

^^^ That's not bad for a knock off.

But the size is totally off, the Lanvin is longer and more importantly, the nickel studs don't look anything like the Jet Set bag. The Jet Set's nickel studs aren't in "even, consistent" gold, each stud has a different tone and is burnished differently which is what REALLY makes the bag unique and interesting. If they used regular gold studs, the bag wouldn't look half as interesting.

I just checked Barney's online and the Jet Set is being sold again (still at US$1,600).

I measured my bag - 14 inches width by 8 inches height (without the straps).

How long would you say the drop for the straps is? Is it comfortable to wear on your shoulder? Thanks for the dimensions!

^^ Socal, the shoulder drop is about 6 3/4 inches. It's very comfortable to wear on the shoulder. Since it's not a heavy bag, I'm happy to carry it on my arm. If you don't stuff a lot of things inside, since the bag is so soft, it kind of folds in.

I got to see the black Lanvin Kansas in person. The leather is amazing, but I found the bag to be a little too plain for me to be honest. The Jetset & Kansas are two very different designs, so you could consider getting both

I ordered the jet set from Barneys.com 4 days ago and checked on the status and they told me they are still searching for one so I guess I will never get it. I wonder why it is on there site?

I like this bag. I really, really like this bag. If I wouldn't have purchased so many high end bags already, I would definitely purchase this bag. I bet the leather on it is incredible.

Bagqueen - the picture in the barneys site makes the bag look rounder than it is (it looks like the Balenciaga twiggy in the picture) but in person the bag is less round, more rectangular (but very soft rectangular). Much nicer shape in person.
