Honestly. I'm not suprised at this at all. For the last 5 or so years, the suits of OdlR made a huge deal over them rejecting the norm of the fashion system in favour of opting for a customer-facing strategy. The fact that the brand is willing to go out of their way to dress so many of the Trump inauguration party says a lot about the values of their clientele.

Hasn't high fashion always been like that: It’s a big club, and you (poor people regardless of their political parties) ain’t in it! At the end of the day, it always caters to the ultra-rich people in all societies even if they are from corrupt regimes. Here we go again! At this stage, Melania Trump should have chosen a major American designer like RL (if Lauren Bush could marry his son, it would not be a big deal for the designer to dress a Republican first lady) or Donna Karen who would be happy to do the job if her brand still exists.
