I've been wanting to come back to these forums last week, but some idiot hijacked my AOL account and got me in trouble. So I just want to say that it's a pleasure to be back on these message boards.
Now on with business as usual.
Even though I'm a guy, I've hated leggings all my life. I would only wear capris if I was a girl and wanting to accent my legs. Leggings lack style on so many levels. Hated them in the 1980s, hated them in the early 1990s. Why don't leggings make like Star Trek reruns and DIE ALREADY!!!
I always had a bold take on this trend of leggings under skirts (or any bottoms with short hemlines). In mid-spring, this look seems more like something appropriate for colder weather, not mid-spring heat. They are even worse in Goth/punk look. I've always said that a lady wearing a mini skirt obviously is happy about baring her legs and feet out in public. Why mess it all up with leggings? There has long been an alternative to those who love wearing something short as as there's something equally appealing underneath- and they are skorts. There was a time when many ladies had very short skirts, but were hiding shorts underneath. This is a much better alternative than pairing a mini skirt with leggings.
I've always been critical of leggings. They just completely lack style to me. Hated them then, hate them now, hate them more than ever when paired with a miniskirt. But that's just me.
Oh, and Harvz88 and BabyJ and others, you aren't the only ones who hate leggings. Perhaps I'm the first GUY to state dislike of leggings. But I'm saying this because I haven't seen anything past Post #20 yet.
