just gotta say --- i am really LOVING these past few months in Lily's career! she is everywhere again, and it's great to see! such a versatile and gorgeous model.

This might sound really weird, but I was kind of hoping that VS would anoint her an Angel this year, I mean she’s been with them for a couple of years now and she always does such a wonderful job, and with Rosie most defiantly gone you would think they would want a British girl to tie in with their big store launch in London later this year, not to mention the rumours that the show might even take place here this year...
...I was a little worried when I saw the S/S 12 Calvin Klein Swimwear campaign though. Does anyone know the rules regarding this sort of stuff at VS? Are their models allowed to participate in other swimwear, lingerie work?

^She's really only 'a model' for VS.. So unless she has an exclusive contract with Victorias Secret , she's free to do other swimwear 
But I agree , Lily for angel seems like an amazing idea , she is so classy yet exudes sex appeal at the same time!

no, Lily for an Angel 5 years ago -- when the Angels weren't targeted at 15-year-olds, YES. Lily for an Angel now? not so much. VS has moved away from genuinely sensual sexy women, and towards cheesy-sexy-girlish models. just watch the shows from 2000-2003 ... they were, dare i say, sophisticated. nowadays? baahahaa.
It's obvious in the last few years that Lily has been trying to rebrand herself as a "sexy" model--from that V cover, racier editorials, VS catalogs, to her enhanced assets--and while I'm just guessing, I think she's been trying to get into the VS Angel rotation. If she hasn't become one already, what are the chances she ever will? I was thinking the same thing as Bobby153 about Rosie's exit from the brand. With VS expanding into the UK, who better than Lily to be a brand ambassador? She has a history with the brand and is the quintessential London girl.
Having said all that, considering VS is loving Bregje Heinen so much these days, having Lily as an Angel would seem almost redundant. They are so similar looking.

Vogue UK just featured a story on their website, Body of an Angel, The Victoria's Secret Angels reveal their exercise regimes with Lily listed among VS Angels Doutzen, Miranda, Alessandra, Candice and Adriana. It wouldn't be the first time the press labeled Lily as an "Angel," though.
Lily does "pilates, yoga, swimming and aqua-running" in case anyone is interested.

Hmmmm...
Yeah, the press seems to refer to any model associated with VS as an Angel, hell even some of the girls refer to themselves as Angels...I remember Karlie did when she finished her first pass down the runway at last year’s show.
Anyway, I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for Lily...who knows maybe they’ll announce her at the store opening. I’ll be there to check it out so I shall live in hope till then.
