Ahhh...that mysterious upper lip. Something I could never quite figure out. But I do know this: Aside from her ability to manipulate those lips (along with the possibilities that come with the countless lip plumpers that are available today), Linda's upper lip is at a bizarre angle -- and the further she bends her head backwards, the more full that upper lip appears.

Joseph, I had actually compared her teeth with another Clairol ad:

The bottom of the top row is sort of obscured by her tongue, which makes her teeth look more even in the Clairol ad...but the top of teeth look identical.

If that isn't Linda, it's a close relative.

The mystery lingers on...

seeing that Clairol ad I would say that the one in the Debeers ad is Linda! now I'm officially confused, we just need another debeer ad of that serie.

Comparing these two pics I could see the difference that bugs me... DeBeers model has a wider chin and her mouth is not as big as Linda's. In all ads, this mouth is just not that wide open as it could be. The upper lip difference is also obvious in fact, but this is only a 2 seconds trick in Photoshop.

But still what strikes me: these is Linda's attitude, her expressions and poses. Sooooo confusing.

Okay I read all the comments / viewed the scans (thanks by the way!) and I'm really sure it's her. Just look at the eyes...not even Milla Jovovich could look like that Yea, okay, the ad that was posted first - she looks dead on there - is a little bit weird but the second...that MUST be Linda... Love the ring she's wearing.

Ohh Linda...always confusing us But at least that brought some life to this thread

As the suspense was too intense for me to bear, I have contacted De Beers in London and they confirmed - Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Linda Evangelista!
So Linda's got a campaign this season! Yesssssssssssssss!!!!

However, IMHO, they did too much retouching in the mouth area and thicker lips make her smile different, not so strong and open as usual. Luckyly, her expressions make up for this unfortunate Photoshop trick!

Oh my goodness...so it really IS Linda???? As soon as I got out of bed (rather late this morning...lol), I looked at the ad again and thought, "How could this not be Linda??"

So how did Linda pull this off? I'm guessing this was shot at the beginning of her pregnancy...before her face started to puff from pregnancy and I'm guessing that hair maestro Julien d'Ys temporarily died her hair after he first cut it.

Regarding your question Shana, The October issue of UK Glamour had a small-ish feature on the original supermodels, and they included new(I think) pics of naomi,linda,helena,cindy,amber,stephanie,and shalom phtographed by Tom Munro. I scanned the Linda picture on this thread and the helena on her thread

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been on a tragic search for a specific photo taken in the late '80's/early '90's....It is a Chanel shot for Vogue of Linda, Christy and Naomi in the Meat Packing District dressed in Leather and Chains and posing with motorcycles. I can't find this photo anywhere! It was described in Ru Paul's book (sorry, I forget the name of that autobiography he wrote, but I thought that might help). I remember the photo severly....it was black and white and the streets looked early morning wet.........Very Hot Shot! PLease, if anyone knows what photo I am talking about post it or let me know where I can find it..........I'm on my knees begging to please!
