Linda Evangelista

reading that article from Levangelista.net I was very surprised about Linda hoping to be booked for her 5 fab Milan shows, I really thought that Supers like Linda or Christy didnt have to do a casting for shows like Versace, D&G , etc. according to her she was really sad when Prada didn't want her for her fashion show.

I thought that, for example, Linda was included in Versace shows by default, not needing to be approved, after all Gianni, D&G, Lagerfeld.. are her friends :unsure::unsure: any opinion?

these are the 4 shows she did for the 1996 Spring-Summer pret-a-porter Milan collections, Jil Sander, Gucci, Versace and D&G.

this is the link for the PRADA collection, Kristy McMenamy was there, I can't believe Linda was not wanted there.

There are many reasons that come to my mind. It was 1995, and the age of supermodels was fading, Linda had already hit the bit "30" and Prada was presenting a minimalist line and Prada felt Linda's "supermodel" personality was too big to relate to the clothes she was presenting. I look at it as even during that time, Linda was fortunate to get that many shows at age 30 in Milan.

October 17, 2006: Linda Evangelista spotted leaving Eat on Madison Avenue, New York City, six days after giving birth to her son, Augustin James. Afterward, the former supermodel returned to her apartment where her driver and nanny carried her new baby into the building.

I hated that look on Linda, the so-called "skunk" hair color (blonde with black underneath) which she had in the Fall of 1995.

To me, that was one of her all-time worst looks.

Thanks Emilia for the new pix....Linda doesn't look too happy on that rainy day but new pix are always good ones!!! :)
