I imagine if Sienna can pull it off, then a good proportion of the general public can too. I really don't want this to become a trend,it's such a unique look.

i think they are more babydoll instead of baggy dress. :ninja: but i like those styles of dress and they're so cute.

i rather like them, esp the preen dresses, similar as they are to some balenciaga 02 s/s pieces. as kimkhuu said, those particular chloe ones are going a little overboard.

Meaning that it's such a good trend, and EVERYONE is gonna want to wear it...

the whole making your boho skirts that are so over into strapless dresses with a belt on the waist thing is gonna be a transition from the boho look to this...

gross

i think it's a fantastic look. my favourite are the chloe dresses, one of the best phoebe has ever created imo:flower:

I wear baggy dresses all the time. I absolutely love this look and I esp. like the Chloe ones.

love the ones spacemiu posted, but not the Balenciaga ones with the 'puff' effect hems.. they somehow seem hard to walk with, i'd hate to be wearing a 'roomy' dress which wouldnt allow me to run if i had to..

agreed with sevenweekslater on the look becoming mainstream following the Eddie movie, it's not really a 60s look but i believe tent dresses will become much more 'acceptable' when the movie comes out..

I'm obsessed with every dress from the chloe spring collection, im thin but not skinny and always wear "baggy" type dresses ...i think its cute , wth flats, tights, boots, even heels!! I should be getting my SR striped dress this week which suprisingly has a waiting list on it already!!! heres the pic! (from yahoo.com)

Cristobal Balenciaga created the sack dress for the client who was not skinny. It's a very forgiving and flattering shape for most bodies. A nice alternative to the high cinched in waists that you REALLY have to be skinny for. It's worth noting Nicolas has repeatedly proposed models of this silhouette.

im really dont seeing any future to this trend...it make you look big and it isn't flattering at all...

I love this  , especially it it's a bit dolllish/childish.

Mary Kate's dress is Miss Davenporte.

Yes! Me too, I love the doll aspect. So cute.

I, too, love to play with proportion, and I really like the 2 Preens, the 2 Balenciagas and the white Chloe. The brown jumper-ish Chloe isn't much my style...I tend to look unbalanced in especially sweet/school-girl type styles.

The two Sienna pics are not that far off from current mainstream proportions, so I agree that some of this style will definitely be entering mainstream. But, at least where I live, I don't see the Balenciaga, Preen and Chloe shapes going very far. Mainstream dresses are nearly always about BLATANT sex appeal—some part of the dress must be very formfitting, whether that material is fitting around the bust, stomach, posterior and/or legs. These loose dresses often don't contour to ANY part of the body and will thus be less likely to appeal to a mass audience, imo.

I like these dresses because it takes a woman with confidence and spice (or, of course, a model's body) to wear a dress that doesn't obviously flaunt all of her fabulous assets—whatever size those assets may be.

i LOVE baggy dresses .. i've been wearing them for a while now .. i think they look great on most poeple .. i'm not really that skinny.. but i'm 5'2 and thin.. they make me look like a little kid but i love them .. comfy and stylish imo

^ Love it!

I do to!
It's refreshing with more eye catching colors, because although I've always loved darker and toned down clothes, I've sort of been longing for bright colors recently! Though I really do like the whole parachute vibe that cream colored loose dresses have!

Plus, this dress remids me of a sweater my old boyfriend had.. oh, those memories
