I am so in love with this collection, particularly this coat:

I'm weird and have always had a Scotish plaid/tartan fixation. Maybe that will help explain why I loved this collection.

No, I think it was easily one of the best collections of the season. My only problem with it is that most of the pieces are SO rich and SO nice they almost become unwearable! Like the first coat you showed. You could not wear that down the street casually. But it is nice! .

Louis Vuitton... :yuk: There is only ONE thing they have ever produced that I like, ever.

Marc Jacobs' other lines don't really do it for me either, but occasionally there are a few Marc by Marc Jacobs pieces that intrigue me.

i had that problem initially with this collection but i think that marc is very clever in positioning the three brands he designs for. there is definitely a harmony in the vuitton, marc jacobs, and marc collections. some of these pieces for vuitton are so anecdotal in a way that one does have to struggle to incorporate them but others fit so well in a modern wardrobe it's hard to see how they'll stay on the shelf. if i had to recommend vuitton, i'd put an essential vuitton accessory like the bag and pair it with the basic vuitton sweater, make it more casual with a pair of marc throw-off jeans, and polish it off with a pair of jelly-bean pumps and a last-forever coat from marc jacobs
