Louis Vuitton Handbags F/W 2021.22 : Liya Kebede & Rebecca Leigh Longendyke by Steven Meisel

(Remote shoot by) Meisel? Given how many sub lines of LV he's been shooting for this year it could be...looks like a decent but lazy shoot by him.

Rebecca looks lovely. Liya looks fine but I've seen this photo from her a million times - she's not that dynamic of a model but whatever.

Simple yet effective. Maybe a little catalogue but they still did the job

Simple but beautiful, wonder if there are more girls in it.

^"Appropriated" from some 60 years old american Vogue ed by Penn or Avedon as always. This is so him

The styling could have been better imo (Rebecca´s hair :innocent:)

It’s a bag campaign…
It’s good, simple and it does the job. I think the simplicity works for the context…

I hope the Capucines is not included in this campaign.

I wonder if it’s styled by MAS or Carine…

Steven and Liya reunited at last! This is fabulous.

It’s as mid-range department store generic and politely pretty as it can be; aspirational for the soccer mums and their daughters throughout affluent middle-America to save up for. But does such department store banality really need Meisel/MAS/Carine to work on this??? Any dime-a-dozen catalogue photographer could have produced the exact same imagery and none would be the wiser. (And yes @Ed.., the retouching is hilariously atrocious-- especially poor Liya’s cheeks which got the too trigger-happy Dodge tool treatment LOL)

Shot by Steven, styled by MAS. Just for their Dauphine bag I think.

TBH I wish his shows were styled more like this. It would be so refreshing and nice to see more restrained and commercial clothes on his LV catwalk. Can't stand his constant parade of neon graffiti'd trash bag collections these days.

i feel like i’ve seen the first pose a million times and the second pose is just awkward

Zzzzzzzzzz

I guess it does the job but it’s boring.

Looks like Giampaolo Sgura shot this... Me no likey. Good to see Liya by Meisel, though. She's the epitome of elegance.

Rebecca looks like Vika Fallileeva but both girls still goodies. I'm really glad to see Liya's work for LV with Meisel. A bit boring but it is luxury. Good commercial job!

Nowadays It is huge deal seeing work of masters like Meisel, Mert and Marcus, I&V and others big legends of fashion photograhy. I'm never like Testino's work but i really miss him. I can't sharp it. Sorry.
