It was, as was Prada's Holiday 2020 advertising campaign which was also photographed remotely. Perhaps Meisel's strengths regarding remote-shot imagery will involve locations, because his studio work here is... lackluster (and I hesitated to use such a word in association with Meisel).

Far from being Meisel's best, but still one of the better Vuitton ads under Nicolas. I also liked the ad with Fei Fei and Rianne shot in Vietnam, and most especially Liya's Spirit of Travel campaign back in 2015. Makes you wonder why his mainline ads always look super bland in comparison...
