Hi Guys, I'm going away quite a bit over the summer & wanted to finally get a big LV Keepall as my suitcase basically because whenever I see someone at the airport with a big LV it looks very glamourous (I'm I sad?!). The only thing I hate is how loads of footballers wives have them & its like that whole 'look at me splashing my husbands cash' kinda thing. But I will be getting a plain monogram (not multicolore :o !!!) which I guess is a timeless peice & it will last me forever (I saw a pic of Audrey Hepburn with a speedy mono in the 60's and just thought wow!)

I'm sorry to say it will have to be a fake (can't afford real thing) but I know someone that does excellent A fakes.

I don't want to get a plain leather bag because part of me wants to people to see me with it at the airport and think 'she looks jet-set with that'!!!) God I sound so shallow but do you know what I mean?!

If you're planning to buy a FAKE Keepall... that's indeed very common :innocent:

I dont know...if i wanted to look "glamorous" at airports i would get a colourful funky print lugagge bag. I've seen lots and although its not LV, it does make you stand out from everyone else with their standard black cases. :flower:

Sorry to say this but it sounds like you want to pass off a fake LV keepall as the real thing and people on tfs hate that :innocent:

Me personally, I can't afford any LV bag at the moment, my suitcases are airbrushed in hot pink, and I buy my suitcases at Goodwill for 2 dollars each, and they're retro shaped, rounded cases, in yellow, green and a purple one... I have this woven travel bag, w/ a very Pucci print look, from the 60's... and it was only 1 dollar :innocent:

and THAT's cooler, IMO B)

I agree...

If you are going to invest in cute luggage so people notice you- do like Alejandro said, and go to thrift stores and get some. If they aren't flashy enough for you, than add something to them! I LOVE going thrift store shopping and buying bags, dresses, pants, skirts and shirts and fixing them up so they are unique and fun! Plus its a lot cheaper, and in my opinion smarter, than buying a fake LV. :flower:
For a hint on thrift store shopping-check out more than one shop, and check them out about every 2 weeks or so, they are ALWAYS getting new stuff in!

people with Vuitton suitcases at airport look glamourous? I don't think so.
well, I do have sort of a collection of Vuittons, but not for the sake of "looking glamourous" :ninja:

and let me tell you, even if you carried a nicely made fake Vuitton suitcase and looked glamourous--the way you put it, you wouldn't feel glamourous at all in your heat--at least that would definitely be the case for me ;)

if I could afford designer items, I'd simply buy stuffs that are less expensive but with great quality. I personally think it's so much better and wiser to buy fakes :flower: (fakes are nothing and get you nowhere)

Totally agree, lv's are nice and all but it's so much better to have something of your own if that makes sense, you know that no-one else will have, customise stuff it just makes it all so much more original.

And as you were going to buy a fake Lv ( ) you know i think you'd be much off just having something cheaper and original.

Fake bags.....I learned this year that the production and distrabution of all these fake bags hurt the actual companies SO bad!

Here is another thought on looking glamourous....once while traveling in Italy I saw a lady from a distance with a great big LV duffel bag waiting on a train...it caught my eye and right as I was thinking to myself that it would be nice to have one....one of the arm straps POpPED off and the bag fell to the groud!

That did not see to glamourous to me....she made a scene and it was a give away that is was a fake!

While a real one would never do that.....they are pricy.....but if I were you I would wait until you could get a real one.

in the meantime
A Possible SOLUTION:
I would wear all black when in the airport....(that in its self would stand out....and black is GREAT to travel in)......then I would get a great carry on(...something simple....even a solid color...like RED....) then tie a big hermes scarf on the strap of the bag, around your head, around your waist or however you wish to use it.....sigh....to me THAT would stand out and look glamourous WAY more than just having an LV.

Just an idea....best of luck in whatever you do!

I think the scarf is a great idea!! :woot:

Tied around the head, so Audrey Hepburn

you can shop at outlet stores like Off Saks and stores like Marshalls and find nice Coach, Ralph Lauren, and Adrienne Vittandi for all under $150.00, ther are very nice, better than a fake LV

My point exactly! ohhh hot pink

Glamorous to me is being unique and feeling good and confident in myself. How glamorous would it be if Im carry a fake LV that everybody else and their mother has (unique), knowing that this bag support terrorism and drug sales (feeling good) and the fact that this fake can break any second now and all your stuff could get lost in the airport or everybody else knows that you are carrying a fake (confident).

That to me sweety that isnt very glamorous at all. msmartimar have gave you an excellent suggestion to being glamorous. All I would have to add is if you are comfortable in high heels, wear high heels with your outfit. If you would like you can buy big sunglasses that looks good. And may I suggest matte skin and light glossy red lipd. Thrift store are an excellent suggestion. You can find so many great stuff and make it into something so very glamorous. And you never know, you may find an LV keepall at a thriftstore! Oh and to be extra glamorous may I suggest a tan, and in the tanning case getting a fake one won't be so bad :flower:

number 1, Go for an authentic Keepall.... it may cost more, but the quality simply blows one away.... maybe just wait and get some money together boefore you buy it

number 2, LV Luggage isn't common... the handbags may be common, but Keepalls, Pegases and the like are actually a rare sight anywhere... Well, at least i've seen very little in the past 12 years I've been flying around, hehe
