Louis Vuitton Keepall - Too Common Now?

If you are going to invest in cute luggage so people notice you- do like Alejandro said, and go to thrift stores and get some. If they aren't flashy enough for you, than add something to them! I LOVE going thrift store shopping and buying bags, dresses, pants, skirts and shirts and fixing them up so they are unique and fun! Plus its a lot cheaper, and in my opinion smarter, than buying a fake LV. :flower:
ditto :flower:

in the meantime
A Possible SOLUTION:
I would wear all black when in the airport....(that in its self would stand out....and black is GREAT to travel in)......then I would get a great carry on(...something simple....even a solid color...like RED....) then tie a big hermes scarf on the strap of the bag, around your head, around your waist or however you wish to use it.....sigh....to me THAT would stand out and look glamourous WAY more than just having an LV.
with some big jackie o/superstar sunglasses!! :woot: :woot:

Aaah I get what you mean though Superstarjeans, LV is a classic brand and when you see it you think of old school glamour. ;)

Personally, I think of the Hilton sisters... :innocent:

Depends who's wearing it when you see it. Kate Moss/Audrey Hepurn=Timeless. Hilton Sisters=Here Today Gone Tomorrow. :innocent:
It's everything to do with how you interpret it.... IMO.

Just an idea....best of luck in whatever you do!
I remember I read that tip in a British magazine..tying a scarf to the handle of a bag B)

Fakes are blasphemous items, and do not signify any sort of glamour.

To me personally a full set of Vuitton hard suitcases being used by someone would be glamorous.

But I suggest saving up, and then acquiring something worthwhile. But in the meanwhile Prada makes a nice rectangular keepall in leather as an alternative to Vuitton.

Yeah those LV trunks are 1920's glamour...and yea the keepall i see a lot...

A fake is not glamourous, specially if u r trying to pass it on as real or getting it for the important factor...its tacky. :yuk:

I agree with getting something else that is flashy and kool...its better to be original than to have the it bag of the season... :innocent:

i think that's not a good idea. i think carrying obvious designer luggage is like wearing a sign that reads "please rob me". monogram suitcases/bag are the most common "lost property" at airports :innocent:

plus, as everybody else has said, "glamororus" is an attitude ;) when i travel, i dress in neutral colours, that gives me a classic look. and to be honest, when i take a short flight, i use very cheap airlines, so everybody is kind of relaxed...

Why would you want to draw attention to your luggage? Do you want someone to steal it or try to transport heroin in it? I just use plain black or cheap duffle bags and tag it so that I can recongnize it when I pick it up.

You just want LV fake luggage to look really cool or have people assume you are something you are not. That to me signifies lack of self-confidence and shows how shallow you appear to be. Fakes dont do anything for anyones confidence, especially if you are conscious of the fact that your luggage/bag is not authentic.

I look like death whenever I get off a plane! There is no way in hell that i'd want people looking at me

I however stick to the plain black suitcases. To recognize mine from the rest I put a flashy pink ribbon in the handle to identify it from the 300 other black suitcases.

The real ones dont either.

They looks the same, so why would one be glamorous and the other one not?

some people

Louis Vuitton has become much too ubiquitous. But the fact is that glamour is not inherent in any sort of object as it is rather the object being used by someone.

Fur coats, and jewels as the prototypes of glamour however may be exceptions. They exude a feeling on their own. At least I think so.

SO which one is it? First you're saying that having a real LV is glamorous and having a fake is not.

Then you're telling me that LV has become ubiquitous (Which I will agree to) But then you say that its not the purse that makes the person glamorous.

So what is it you're trying to say? I'm not quite getting your point.

I want to get a keepall too but can't afford a real one, does anyone know if it will get confiscated in customs? I am going to Frace/Europe this summer, any help is welcomed, thanks!

I dont think a fake LV will get your bag confiscated but I wouldnt carry a fake if you feel unsure about it :innocent:

Hi Guys, I'm going away quite a bit over the summer & wanted to finally get a big LV Keepall as my suitcase basically because whenever I see someone at the airport with a big LV it looks very glamourous (I'm I sad?!). The only thing I hate is how loads of footballers wives have them & its like that whole 'look at me splashing my husbands cash' kinda thing. But I will be getting a plain monogram (not multicolore :o !!!) which I guess is a timeless peice & it will last me forever (I saw a pic of Audrey Hepburn with a speedy mono in the 60's and just thought wow!)

I'm sorry to say it will have to be a fake (can't afford real thing) but I know someone that does excellent A fakes.

I don't want to get a plain leather bag because part of me wants to people to see me with it at the airport and think 'she looks jet-set with that'!!!) God I sound so shallow but do you know what I mean?!
Yes you sound very shallow and no I do not know what you mean......also a fake is not a timeless piece and will not last you forever

her point is very clear :flower:

"ubiquitous" = overplayed
"it's not the purse that makes the person glamorous" = you can look glamorous with a unique bag

bottom line == carrying a fake lv will not make people think you look glamorous if you have a trashy attitude.
