I find this choice of cover girl utterly bizarre. What do readers of Lucky have in common with Vanessa Hudgens? Most probably don't even know who she is. And if they do, they certainly don't want their daughters favorite character from high school musical to be their 'inspiration'. Seriously.
The outfit is horrible, too. The colors (blues) don't match at all and she's got on a summer-looking dress with a winter-looking blazer. Looks like she got a chill at a summer party and put on gramma's sweater to keep warm! What a mess. Looks like something they put together quickly in a frantic rush.
Great point about why this "actress" is on the cover and so many of their readers probably don't know who she is or what her claim to fame is. Does she really have enough exposure to be a cover model? I think not!
It's actually her fourth cover! It can be annoying that Lucky uses the same people over and over (I'm dreading the next inevitable Mandy Moore cover). But, I love that they love Keri as much as I do! They also really love another favorite of mine, Amanda Peet.
And, in case you needed more proof that Lucky can be a little lazy, the headline they used for Russell (Could she be any prettier?) was used once before when Peet was on the cover. I remember it because I kept hearing it in Chandler Bing's intonation!
^ lol, "Could she BE any prettier?" Anyway, I got this issue in the mail a couple of days ago and Keri's feature is only two pages I think but I'll scan it tomorrow.
