Olivia Wilde Covers ‘Lucky’ January 2010
House hottie Olivia Wilde strikes a pose in a Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti satin dress on the January 2010 cover of Lucky Magazine, on stands December 8. Here’s what the 25-year-old L.A.-based actress opened up about:
On her fashion alter ego: “I find myself constantly pretending I’m a chic Parisian. I even dream of buying a Balmain jacket with really sharp shoulders. If I can pull off that look, I will have succeeded, at least partially, in my quest.”
On her favorite bargain haunt: “Coats from H&M are inexpensive and usually have something extra going on—so even with a simple sheath dress, your outfit is still interesting.”

Her last cover was only a year ago (February 2009). Maybe she'll be the new Mandy Moore or Molly Sims!
I like Seyfried as an actress, but I wish someone more exciting - sartorially speaking - were on the cover. I know that Lucky isn't Vogue, but I hate when they choose cover models who have zero interest in or relevance to the fashion world. One of Carrie Underwood's picks was sweatpants from Victoria's Secret Pink, for crying out loud!
Surely there are more appropriate cover subjects out there. I'm still surprised that Zoe Saldana hasn't appeared on the cover yet.
Why does Lucky keep recycling the same 4 or 5 people? I guess Amanda Peet or Kerri Russell will be on the next issue. If we're lucky we might even get Mandy Moore again.
Isn't Lucky one of the magazines struggling to survive with a huge loss in ad pages? It wouldn't hurth them to get some different people on their covers.
